Default An eternal tragedy: President Thomas Jefferson died in his sins.

According to a story on the Fox news website, a day ago, the late
President Thomas Jefferson did not believe in the Resurrection
    of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In fact, he did not believe in any of the miracles recorded
    in the Holy Bible.

If you go to, visit his Monticello estate you will you find a Bible of his with the accounts of the miracles cut out.

    Sad!
    1 Corinthians 15:16-18.

    Revelation 22:19.

MMM - Our history has become so obscured, I certainly would not stand upon speculation from our own revisionist historians.

Consider the words of Omar M. Ahmad, founder of CAIR: "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant." ... "The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America , and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."

Don't take my word for it; nor FOX's; visit Monticello yourself and check it out.

Jefferson was a Deist. So were many others however, just because of that doesn't mean that others weren't Christian nor were the majority of the founding fathers. They all believed in a 'god', most actually went to seminary at the now 'liberal' ivy league schools.

So the key is to try and separate fact from fiction, real history from the revisionist. The revisionist will tell you everyone was an atheist/deist. On the opposite side people will say everyone was a Christian. But the true side is that many were Deist, and many many more were diehard Christian.

Did you know the American Revolution can also be known as a Presbyterian Rebellion?

Good post, arapahoe! It should not come as any surprise to people that Jefferson was not saved. You only have to read his own words. He wrote denying Christ was God, plainly and openly; and claimed Jesus was merely a holy teacher. And anyone who has studied history knows that many others were not Christians either. They were, as you said, deists. But that does not mean that others were not— they definitely were. And it does not mean that God did not use these men to create this nation that He would use to preserve freedom, eventually protect Israel, and proclaim His gospel throughout the world— He definitely did.
