Default Church Suggestions in Western Maryland

I'm working temporarily in Frederick MD until at least Mar 17. I've considered going to Covenant Life in Gaithersburg or Capitol Hill Baptist in DC, but they are both very large. Plus, not knowing my way around DC or the Subway system. Anyone here at RF have any ideas? I looked up the Calvary Chapel in Frederick but it appears to be tiny.

No, it's not bad but I'm a bit of an introvert in group settings. 200+ people is a little easier for me than <100.

Are you sure the Frederick location is smaller than a couple hundred? To me it seems it might be larger than the Ellicott City one and maybe as big as the Baltimore/Bell City one. You might call the office anonymously at (301) 663-4485 to ask their size.

OK, about 2 weeks ago I found out that I get to continue this contract with State Farm until June 29. 25 weeks of work is a really good thing but I miss my wife and kids! I tried Covenant Life Church(covlife.org) in Gaithersburg MD, Joshua Harris is the pastor and CJ Mahanney is pastor emeritus. It's a fine church of about 3000 with several services. I would recommend it to anyone living in the DC area but it is too big and a bit too far for me to go to. I found a 'brethren' church called Grace Community here in Frederick that looks very promising, gracetoday.org. I don't know anything about brethren churches but I think I'm going to check it out this Sunday. It is a lot closer and could be a place to plug into for the time I'm here.

Brethren is good! Well, I may be prejudiced ... I am doing my Masters at a Brethren Seminary! For the record, among notable Plymouth Brethren pastors, evangelists and theologians in the past are F.F. Bruce, John Nelson Darby, Harry Ironside, C.H. Mackintosh and Watchman Nee. Also those missionaries to Ecuador, Jim Elliott and Peter Fleming, who were killed by the Waodani Indians (yet their widows went back to the tribe and later converted them to Christ) were Brethren. You will find Grace Fellowship Brethren are dispensational and pre-Trib. Each congregation differs a little, with some being quite Calvinist, others more in the middle.
