Default Answers To Prayer....how have your prayers been answered?

I've been meaning to start an answer to prayer thread because God has wonderfully answered so many prayers in my life. During this time, with so much dark news, and stories I thought it would be uplifting and encouraging to share stories of answered prayers in our lives.

Today was the day for me to start this because, again, God has abundently answered a prayer for me and my little daughter today!

We had a couple of very busy years in selling our house and moving (awesome acts of God stories there), and while hubby, son and I have benefited greatly from the move (health, friends, closer to places we like, and a roomier place), my daughter has been very sad inside...a kind of grieving sad.

There really was a lot of changes for her, moving, starting school for the first time and just an all around completely different life and schedule. She doesn't complain alot, but when she talks about missing our other place, boy she really just tears up....and breaks my heart.

She's also been having a hard time with connecting with a good friend at school/neighborhood (unlike the rest of us extroverts in the family) and has just felt kind of unconnected. There's a girl in the neigborhood that she really likes, but they've not been able to really see much of each other since they go to different schools. My daughter goes to public and this girl goes to private. They always have such a very good time together and are thoroughly happy to be in each other's company.

Well, I asked her if she'd like to pray about it together and she kind of balked (was feeling that she was in an "impossible" situation). I told her that with God, nothing is impossible and challanged her saying, "Let's see what God might do...you never know, He may already have a plan but is just waiting for you to ask for His help."

So she prayed with me and we asked that God would work in all the details that He knew would give her heart joy where we live and a really good friend...and many other things.

Well, yesterday my daughter told me that a new girl named Katelynn was going to be coming to her class the next day. She commented that it was the same name as this neigborhood girl that she's been trying to connect with.

Today my daughter walked into her class and her teacher introduced this "new" girl to my daughter and they immediately ran into each others arms hugging each other with joy. This "new" girl was none other than the neighborhood girl, Katelynn, the one my daughter has yearned to connect with more in the last year!!!! Of all the classes at this school she ended up in the very class my daughter is in!

I was so overjoyed to hear my daughter joyfully tell me what had happened today, and to see a skip in her step and happiness in her face! We immediately talked about how God had already started to answer her prayer to bring more joy into her life.

The answers to my prayers had never a physical nature, but I experiences that after some time, I can feel something in my heart. I realize that something in my mind has changed and that I see my problems in a different view. Problems are always a challenge for us people to see if we can cope with them. It's a mission for us to become better persons!

What a great story, Everlasting Life. And a glorious testimonial to the power of our Almighty God.

18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,

And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
    And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
    None other has ever known.

Yes, SonSeeker, I agree it is such a wonderful testimony!

Because God is so good, He has really responded to our family when we've sought Him in prayer. When the economy has been down (after 9-11) and my husband's company put a no traveling and cut back on raises into effect, my husband was sent around the world through his work and was given many raises (that just kept us up with rising costs)! We KNEW it was because of God.

Even now, while there are some difficult things happening in the world, God has graciously sheltered us in many ways in response to us seeking Him and His guidance through prayer in many parts of our lives. It truly has been an amazing thing...so much that I'm speechless. Of course we have our share of difficulties, life's not perfect....but God is very good.

We know that it is purely out of God's goodness and graciousness that He has helped in so many ways.

I'm sure there's many others who are experiencing God's work in their lives as well. :-)

What an awesome blessing to see such a thread here on the forum. I say that, especially for today!! I'll do my best to keep this short...

Back in Oct my son had been in an accident, totalled my wife's little HHR (which we dearly miss), and received a ticket for careless driving and driving with a suspended driver's liscense. This last part we didn't even know about that.

Well, we had been asking around about how things like this were handled in court in this area. Many of my son's friends explained tremendiously heavy fines they had had to pay on charges less than what my son was facing.

Obviously, my wife and I had been praying CONSTANTLY leading up to this trial date. Last night when I prayed, all I could say way, Father, I don't know how to pray. Our son is Your son and He's in your hands. I heard/felt in my heart, the Spirit simply reminding me, at one point, servents of Mine did go in to the fire! Yet, each one came out with not even a smell of smoke on them.

I went on to sleep last night, KNOWING, somehow, God would take care of this.

Well, after our son's appearence in court today, he was SENT OUT! with a request to come back on another court date in March to show a letter that the vehicel he hit was paid for, which it was by our insurance. Then he'll have a REDUCED sentence to a NON MOVING VOILATION, pay a small fine, and SENT ON HIS WAY!! I HONESTLY could NOT believe it!

So, we go back in March just mainly to hand in some paper work and that's about it.

All I can say it, God is sooooooooooooooo good. He is an awesome God!!!

Wanted to testify again to the power of prayer and that God hears and answers. It's not always yes (for our ultimate good), but we truly can go to God for so many things! Again, I've put this in the Christian Chat section just to have something positive to read, something that keeps our eyes pointed to God and His power in our lives. :-)

Well, God has been very good again! Today I had found out that a vet bill was going to be double than what I was quoted. I knew that the bill might come out a little more than the quote, but double was too much! I was very upset! I felt that the person who quoted me had not been fair in making sure that I knew much closely what the vet bill could be.

To be fair, the person who had quoted the price before I took my pet in was enormously busy answering phones, taking in pets, talking with customers....it was very, very busy. I was patient, seeing that she was overwhelmed. I mentioned this to the manager saying that it seemed she needed more help so that she could take the time to thoroughly help people.

I had talked with the front desk person on the phone and they seemed pretty adament that they couldn't change the price. I asked if they would do monthly payments, they referred me to an outside source that would take the price on with potential interest!

This was not acceptable to me and I asked if something else could be done. The person said that she would talk with other management to see what they thought and would call me back.

As I waited I was still feeling upset and frustrated and trying to calm down. Finally the thought managed to come through that I should pray. That's what I did....several times. The first time to ask for God's help, and the others to express thanks for what He was about to do, I kept worrying so, I kept praying and choosing to trust God.

I soon got a call back with the message that my vet bill would be lowered considerably! I kid you not! Wow, praise God!!! He is so very good and cares much for our lives and our concerns. :-)
