It's official....the sheriff said so

I am now officially and "elderly white female." Yeah, sheriff's deputy said on the police radio. I had run out of gas and locked my keys in the car on a hot August day. Have no cell phone but someone did call the sheriiff's office for me.

It was a hades of a hot day and I fainted twice and fell onto the gravel road. Scared me mighty bad, too. Sheriff came by, put me in his car to cool off and gave me a bottle of water. He called for someone to bring gas, etc. He referred to me as an elderly white female...LOL>

While waiting, the radio dispatch called twice to check on the status of the "elderly white female." I guess they were right....on the 7th of Jan. I will be 65 years old. Let me tell y'all, getting older is not for sissies and I'm disliking it to the max!!!

Me, too! (Though I am not female, I match the rest of the description! But since when is mid-60's elderly anymore? My mother will be 90 next month. THAT is elderly!)

I'm going to be 40 this year.

I get tickled when younger folks talk like I'm ancient. BUT I do remember acting the same way when I was in my teens and twenties. Its going to be an interesting ride, though I obviously don't know how old I'll get to live.

I'm right behind you, turning 40 in two years. My 6yr son recently said that he couldn't wait until I was 40, when I asked him why, he said, "cause then you'll be old like papa". Papa is my dad and he just celebrated his 68th birthday. Neither one of us really liked my son's comment!
