    Default God Now Has His Own Facebook Page

    I kid you not...I went to type in God Dot Com - Jesus Son of God and this website keeps popping up instead....God Dot Com - Jesus Son of God (for some reason, the website's name is not coming up right...it's christian news . com without all the spaces)

    The first thing you see is God now has his own facebook page and if you "like" his page, you will receive inspirational daily Bible quotes and whatnot. Over 7,000 people and counting are clicking on this. Am I missing something??? Not only am I appalled at this, but I can't believe the christiannews website is apparently endorsing this too!

    Well, there is this...

    Psalm 73:28

    28 But as for me, it is good to be near God.
    I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge;
    I will tell of all your deeds.

    Jesus on Twitter... (this one's really cool!)

    Psalm 73:28

    28 But as for me, it is good to be near God.
    I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge;
    I will tell of all your deeds.

    I'm going to sound a little nerdy here for a second, but I truly wish with all my heart that Jesus used Facebook. I could get on there and chat with Him about what's going on in my life. Get His advice and wisdom on all situations and hear Him teach me more about Himself. Much like we believers do online here at RF. Only one day we'll see Him and y'all face to face without any computer screen in the way.
    Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? Jeremiah 32:27

    I can relate, Holly. There have been times when I would have given anything to have even just one hour speaking with Jesus Christ face to face... For all that, in His own time and in His own way, the Lord has answered my questions and answered many of my prayers. Because He really is a living Individual, His thoughts, ideas and solutions have differed a great deal from what I would have imagined and even desired. For all that, I deeply respect what He has come up with and what He has asked of me. Faith and faithfulness on our part means accepting His will with confidence in His decisions. Sometimes that confidence doesn't come readily, sometimes that confidence only comes after a season of searching as His answers unfold in our lives. For this reason, breakthroughs are preceded by times of doubt, even very intense doubt, and maturity is something that comes out of dark places where we never thought we'd have to find ourselves. This is where the answer to the question "Did God really say..." becomes very important indeed. Yes He did really say, BUT, are we able to really trust that?

    A tender shoot of an emerging plant doesn't look like it should be able to break through the soil which is obviously harder than the little plant. A horse or an ox has tremendous muscles that are nurtured by mere grass, while a man eats as much meat as he can to attempt to rival the strength and power of such animals... A jet plane struggles to match the mastery of flight that is effortless to the sparrow. Such is the mysterious wisdom of the Lord our God... Seek and you will find, knock and the door shall be opened. These things come from darkness to Light, such is the mind of the Lord.
    IamPJ and SteveJM like this.
    Psalm 73:28

    28 But as for me, it is good to be near God.
    I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge;
    I will tell of all your deeds.

    That's an interesting thought. I wonder how many would unfriend or block Jesus, because they don't like what they hear or they don't want him to see the junk that is on their own wall? How many would change their profile information? How many likes would he receive when he offers a lengthy note, and how many would even bother to take the time to read, consider and respond to his notes? How many people would clean up their wall and review their friends list before accepting a Jesus friend request, and by the way I think that everyone would be invited to be his friend. I like Meg's answer. I like it a lot. All the things that you desire, we have right now. We can chat with Jesus, and tell him what's going on in our life, we can get his advice and wisdom in all situations, and hear him teach us about ourselves. We have only to open his word, pray, be patient, be still, have our eyes and our ears open, and be wise enough to see his working in our lives. It would be nice to hear his audible voice and see him face to face, to walk with him, to sit at his very feet and hear him teach us. As you say, king'sbloomingrose, "One day we'll see Him."

    We don't need Facebook or Twitter--we've got the Scriptures.
