Frustrated Learning the Bible in 24hrs.

Just starting the book named above by chuck misler. He is incredible, the detail he goes through. Do not know about some of the things though, he talks about 10 even 11 dimensions and now just read he says the planet mars could have taken part in noahs flood, talk about wow.

I did a search on Misler but didn't come up with much. But that "10 or 11 dimensions" and "Mars taking part in Noah's Flood" sounds pretty weird. You might want to leave that book by the wayside and find something better to spend time reading.

Sorry, Chuck Missler has been erased from my list of credible authors. I know he is much loved by some and has had solid connections in the past with Calvary Chapel and, currently, with people whom I respect such as Pat Matrisciana. And he has written some excellent practical works on Christianity. I once had a lot of time for him. But over the past few years he has become so enamored of the ideas presented by such New Agers and psychic researchers as Marilyn Ferguson ("I was drawn to the symbolic power of the pervasive dream in our popular culture: that after a dark, violent age, the Piscean, we are entering a millennium of love and light -- in the words of the popular song, The Age of Aquarius, the time of 'mind's true liberation'"), and new age physicist David Bohm ("the world is a hologram with many dimensions and the seemingly concrete reality of our lives is only an illusion"), that he now writes Christian articles using evidences from their writings to support his theories! I do not wish to denigrate the man or his past contributions to prophetic interpretation or apologetics, but I must warn people, if they determine to read his recent works, to use discernment at all times. Satan is very clever and will present 99% truth in order to sneak in 1% error ... because he knows that error is like leaven and will grow and grow and grow until the entire lump is infected. So, caution please. Please do not jump into his "Christianized" mysticism, kabbalism and numerology. It is false.

Yes I agree mattfivefour, we are living in an age where we must discern what we read and what we listen to, there`s too much of it about sadly

So I guess its true then, someone can start off solid or at least seeming solid, only to wander away from the Narrow Path and fall for some deception. That is both sad and a good cautionary warning. Thanks for the information on Missler, Adrian. You're the best!

Also sounds like he subscribes to the string theory. Not that there's anything wrong with that but its one of many theories out there to explain how gravity and electromagnetism are tied together.
Hugh Ross also promotes string theory, and Ross' books and everything are bashed by both Young Earth Creationists and theistic evolutionists as being inconsistent.
I know nothing about Missler, but the mars thing sounds bizarre....and so I think he might be getting his stuff from Hugh ross.

    Great post Adrian.

For the record his position on Mars was that through computer modeling it is proposed that Mars would have had a close pass by the Earth and the exchange of energy, gravity etc would have had a profound effect on this planet. I have never heard him use it as a possible trigger for the flood, but potentially other cataclysmic events. In fact IIRC the model, if correct, corresponded with one in particular. It's been 20 or so since I last heard it, so my memory is a bit sketchy on it.

very accurate summary of Misler brother Matt
he used to be such a strong centered man
don't know what he got off into over the
last 4 years I just know it is foreboding
I thought for awhile it was my imagination with Misler
yet when I kept getting those intense warnings come up
in my spirit I knew to listen
It brings me no pleasure in the least of any sense
yet I would go so far as to warn others of Misler
what a grief to have to state that because much of his past work prior to I thought
    a lot of .
