I had a dream.

I dreamt that I was watching out for the rapture and the clock was ticking down the seconds and I knew that it was coming as I was waiting, untill the seconds on the clock was from 5-4-3-2-1 then 0 seconds and I was expecting the rapture to occur, then I woke up. At least I thought even while asleep I am watching waiting and praying for the blessed hope.

As long as in real life your "watching and waiting" doesn't involve focus on the clock. In the context of how they are used in the NT, "watching" and "waiting" refer to being employed doing at the Master's return what the He instructed us to be doing when he left. And in that same context it means: a) spreading the gospel; and b) actively caring for one another with His love. Therefore we are daily, continually and without remission, to be eagerly and faithfully using every opportunity to be doing those things because we have the eager anticipation of His return at any moment.
