Default Gods Talking but are people listening.

I truely believe with everything happening in the world today that God is telling people to make a desision soon. I live in Austin TX. My parents and grandparents spoke of the drought in the 50's. It was hard to comprehend what they were telling. This drought we are in is beyond anything I could imagine. I know most of you have heard about the Bastrop fire. That is just one of many. The land in TX that has burned this year is equal to or larger than the state of Conneticut. A report I read yesterday said that in the area close to houston, the wettest part of the state, currently they estimate 1.6 million trees are dying. The soils in TX have no moisture in the top 8-10" of soil. That is the zone where most plants are rooted. Many of our natives can go dormant, but at these levels they are dying. The wildlife in central and south TX is in jepardy. Many animals have lost their natural fear just to get to water. Their is no grass left in the range land areas. All the feed is being trucked in from other states. Last year hay was selling at 80 dollars a tn. At this time it is 170.00. If this continues there will not be a cow in this state. If you like steak eat one now, because before to long it is going to be scarse and expensive. It is time to plant winter wheat and there is no moisture. The corn, cotton and other crops failed.

The weather forcast is that a new La Nina is forming in the pacific. This means a cold winter in the north and continued dry into the spring in Texas. Many places are already 20-30" below normal rainfall. Midland has not seen significant rainfall in over 300 days.

The media is not really covering the seriousness of this event. Why? I think because it would not be good for people to see, and of course BHO does not like TX.

Just thought you might like to know.

    wow
and folks need to know landscapman
these are but some of the reasons I can see later on the Gov.
scrambling like mad to do a land grab take-over like what happened in the flooding problem we saw recently not to long ago . Alabama all along the Mississippi basin . Natural resources are getting very scarce and the Gov knows it . No one wants to think of what their schemed solution for Texas is
any more than running the Mississippi river backward flooding an area then rushing in to buy it all up faster than snider's heist . Its big dog's gobbling up little dog's kinda like Pharaoh's vision except though the Jacob's are none while the Esau's are many . Kinda might explain why Fema has a gazillion stored coffins they never told the public they bought in advance (((makes one wonder in advance of what ???))))

there will be famines floods wars and so forth and on
things will never be as good as people have it right now
not to crush hope , any ones
people have got to have their hope fixated on God and his plan

all Satans regime and economics can do is FAIL
    and fail miserably

will they ever really tell the public the truth with what they know in advance ?
no chance of it most likely

    But be of good cheer
    the wicked perish eventually
and there gold oil and satanomics dont save them

times will worsen as real world famine sets in
starvation is such a remote ideal for American's
just think our first lady wants us all on a diet
ever wonder why the first 3 letters in diet is DIE
It gets sinister I am sorry for that

Sadly, most are NOT listening to God, and it is a large portion of the people in the west that call themselves his "CHURCH" that seem to be the most deaf!!!!! When we go to "church" on Sunday we compare clothes and sneer at one another while congratulating ourselves on how "holy" we look and feel. We look down our noses at those who cannot dress as well as we do and who don't seem to fit into the cliques that form within the congregation. After we "give God his two hours", we relax in our comfort zones and shut out all disturbances, major and minor alike. If someone needs our help, we help insomuch as it does not inconvenience us or make us step out of our zone of absolute softness and warm comfort.

After all, we wouldn't want to be seen with the "wrong" people, now would we?

We preach the "word" to those that we THINK need it, but only when convenient and only when time permits; we cannot be bothered to interrupt our busy lifestyles over such "simple" things, now can we? We "tell" (or more like lecture) those we seek to "witness" to about Christ, but never once tell them about the difference He has made in our lives, or how without the Lord, we would never have gotten through. We ram "repent or go to hell" down the hapless person's throats, but neglect to relate to them how we were at the end of our own ropes when the Lord rescued us. We scream at atheists, homosexuals and heathens that they are going to hell for their awful sins, but don't ever mention that we were as awful in the Lord's eyes with our sins that he forgave when he saved us.

Could it be the reason we don't mention it is because we aren't living much differently than we were before we got "saved"?

And should someone come to the Lord, what do we do to "disciple them"? Not much, as there are so many who have unanswered question, who don't know how to tell others of their faith, or what to do next in their walk. We get ill-tempered and impatient with those that ask questions because such questions offend us. We expect those new in the faith to be on OUR "level", forgetting that at one time, we too were babes and didn't know much. We neglect to come alongside them much as Barnabas came alongside Paul, and later, Paul alongside Timothy. After all, our schedules cannot accommodate such, and if it ruins our schedules, we must simply put it off and "let someone else do it". When the hard questions come, we either get upset that they asked, give them platitudes that are about as helpful as a band-aid on amputation, say "we'll pray for you" and MAYBE mutter a simple prayer later at dinnertime, or simply give them the "dumb cow look" and wobble away to talk to someone MUCH "cheerier and brighter."

In the event a fellow christian needs our help with a problem they are having and they desperately need someone to stand alongside them, we do our best to do the comfortable thing rather than the right thing. As mentioned previously, if it disturbs us out of our comfort zones, we go only as far as the limit of those zones will allow. Which is to say, not very far at all. If it involves getting "shoulder to shoulder" with a brother or sister in need down in the "pit" of their despair, helplessness or pain, we peer aimlessly and wistfully from the top and after a few well-meaning platitudes or the ever popular "well, why don't you" series of questions, we wander off puzzled at their predicament and seeking the comfort of our own situations.

And all of this lines up with Christ's life HOW, exactly?

Jesus Christ had nowhere to lay his head, traveled (walking and not by car, bus or train) extensively, ministered to the sick and needy, prayed extensively (waking early in the morning to do so, and did not avoid the "common sinner" but instead ministered to them. He comforted the afflicted, talked to people on their own level and in their own situations, never gave a "pat answer" or a platitude that was unrealistic, confronted hatred and self-righteousness with true righteousness and love, and preached that the time of salvation was now. He never sought His own comfort, never turned away from those who came to Him for help, and taught with authority and not as the pharisees taught.

He didn't give his Father "two hours"; he gave him His ALL.

So why aren't people listening? Maybe those spreading the message need to start living like the message means something to them other than an insipid slogan on a car bumper or t-shirt.
