    Default Can anyone relate?

Hey everyone, I'm here yet again to vent!

Anyways, do any of you ever get sick of being nice too people, and in return have them walk over over you, think of you as weak, or otherwise just think of you ask insignificant? Man is it frustrating. It seems as if all the rude people get treated nicer than those of us who are kind. I'm sick of being seen as weak because I help someone out. It's so screwed up that if I was rude or mean to someone that they would like me more..how backwards is that? What is wrong with people?

Sometimes when I see things like this happen, or experience them myself I want to be that way cause I'm sick of being walked on. But usually, when all the anger and frustration subsides, I just can't see myself being that cruel to people. Besides, as a christian I should not be acting in such a manner. I like to think of it as a type of persecution..I dunno that may be foolish. It helps me when I know that Jesus went through worse.

Anyone ever feel tempted to just tell everyone to shut up? Just so they stop walking all over you? Or treat them in a manner they seem to prefer?...like dirt! Rather than a human being! I know I'm saved..and probably shouldn't even be entertaining the idea of acting in such a way..it brings dishonor to God. Although at the same time I know I'm not perfect. At the end of the day all I can do is ask God to forgive me for harboring such thoughts!

Sometimes I feel like Luke Skywalker..being tempted to join the dark side or something!!!

When the bible speaks about wrestling against principalities and not flesh..is the kind of thing it means? (Not the Luke skywalker part haha)

I have to admit I can relate. Why do we as Christians have to keep doing good to those who can turn around and just abuse us or treat us like dirt...... it doesn't seem fair does it!

However God is not asking these people to remain in Him and be obedient to His commandments it is you and me and we are being asked to do good to those who will repay us with evil in order to Glorify God!

It hurts and I am no Angel as I might not retaliate with my mouth but I have certainly retalitated with bad thoughts which are just the same as doing the deed so phase two is to not just keep my own mouth shut but get my thought life under control as well.

I am going to give you a few verses and I know they may not be what you want to hear but it is what the Bible teaches us.

RO 12:17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord. 20 On the contrary:

    "If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head."
1PE 2:13 Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority, 14 or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. 15 For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men. 16 Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God. 17 Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king.

1PE 2:18 Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh. 19 For it is commendable if a man bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because he is conscious of God. 20 But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. 21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.

1PE 3:13 Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? 14 But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. "Do not fear what they fear; do not be frightened." 15 But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. 17 It is better, if it is God's will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.
Well you get the point here. We are to suffer for doing good not the wrong thing. We should follow in the footsteps of Jesus and you know Jesus kept his mouth shut like a lamb going to slaughter Jesus did not retalitate when they were persecuting him before his crucifixion.

Finally it is the Lords to repay those who do the wrong thing to us. See if you do what is right to those who are doing you wrong then you are heaping burning coals upon their heads. Leave them to God's judgment & pusnishment!

We need to remember these things when we get angry about people doing the wrong thing towards us. We need to remain a good witness for the Lord no matter how hard we suffer. Don't let the devil entice you to take matters into your own hands. Do good to those who do evil to you and hopefully you might bring those people to the Lord's message of salvation through your witness. Do not discredit God by allowing your anger to get the better of you.

Finally one last scripture to help you with this issue:-

JAS 1:19 My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20 for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. 21 Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.

So yes I would like to tell people off, but it doesn't bring about the righteous life God desires for us to have and we need to learn to put up with the suffering so that we are made more and more like Christ. We are being prepared now for our eternal life in heaven.

And the God of peace will be with you. (NIV)

I also can relate. Even though I want to explode, that split second of 'oh yeah' quickly turns into a worse feeling of shame for sinking down to their level.

Been there, done that as well. Its not easy, but ideally, we should depend on the Lord, not on people's reaction to define how we treat others and why. Within reason, we treat others with kindness and respect not so they will return the favor, but because this is how we express being Christlike. Often it is thankless, although sometimes it can seem thankless when in fact we have managed to touch someone's heart. There can be times when we have actually touched a heart, and the person doesn't show that for one reason or another. But if and when you discover that you made a difference in a hurting person, that -- at least for me, makes all the putting up with the usual rudeness worth it.

On a final note, another lesson learned from dealing with sinners: don't resemble 'em!! Thats the last thing we would want to stoop to!! The devil doesn't care what works as long as it does work, so if he can't tempt you with making something look good, he'll push you to lose your temper. So long as you miss the mark at serving the Lord, how or why you blow it makes no difference to satan. He'll try whatever he thinks might work. So stand firm whenever you can, it can and does make a difference.

People used to think I was weak until they figured out I didn't care what they thought about me. I'm the nice guy people take advantage of but so what. I'm not being nice to earn brownie points. I'm just nice. The other day a woman sat down at my desk and told me she knew I was a Christian and wanted to know what I thought of the catholic religion. Everyone knows I used to be catholic. I told her what I thought and offered to bring her in a bible and some other reading materials. She came back the next day to pick everything up. Since then she has told me she was reading everything and learning a lot. She's also getting her brother involved who had converted from catholic to seven day adventist. She told me she felt comfortable asking me because I'm a nice guy. Hopefully she'll find her way to the truth. In the meantime I'll just go on being the cheerful nice guy I am.

I believe that some of your answers that you seek 2010&Saved, can be found in 1 timothy 5:24-25 ,and the scripture's before it actually

In chapter 5 of Timothy you find instructions given as to who to rebuke into .... ""' I charge you before God,and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect Angels that you OBSERVE these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality

This charge given in Timothy is a command and lets us know something of extreme importance Heaven is actually witnessing our actions and if you read on you soon discover also that there must be no prejudice when judgment is rendered . Its also evident from the scripture
that if or when a person refuses to repent and any kind of approval is given to that person those giving approval actually are (Partakers) of the sin being committed .

where the rubber meets the road in it all 2010&Saved is in (Intent)
vengeful intent is Never ok ,even should you be tempted to have it
were not to be like Luke skywalker . Were to be like Jesus Christ
and that is why we are to observe carefully all things and take the instructions of scripture .

some men's sins are open beforehand actually tells us readers that some people exhibit open sin and it is openly manifested before everyone's eyes .

    "going before to judgment
in such a case as yours it is easy because everything is out in the open.
some sins are never confessed or repented of which is the worser end
case being we can all be sure such will be dealt with at the Judgment
the entirety of the Bible assures us of that over and over ,and so we have 1 of 2 courses .................""" we sinners can take the judgment that was placed on Jesus Christ on the cross which was DONE in OUR place
    OR
we can face the coming Judgment .

No one in their right mind I dont think would choose the second when confession and repentance bringing reconciliation is made so available to us .

At the Judgment seat of Jesus Christ our Lord EVERY secret will be made manifest every hidden thing will be revealed all things will be very clear
    nothing hidden

when sins are confessed and repented of your record is clear and you have no need to fear the coming Judgment .

doing so will not clear your record with the world ,if anything it may even worsen your circumstances thats why were told to be in the world , but not OF the world , meaning a different "spirit" is to guide you and that "spirit" is a HOLY SPIRIT . were told why ?? we need to pray unceasingly actually
and what your describing should be prayed about because there is a tempting there and as you know already God never usually rewards
complaining or as you call it venting , another name for complaining
read what happened to the children of Israel because they complained

Its never nice to conceal the truth
often with rude people the only truth that stands is the truth that we can never really know a person so well that we can see things from their point of view after all who knows what kind of prejudices they have ,or taught ways we know nothing about at all

none of us are fit to judge scripture makes it clear were not
because the heart and intent can only be known by God
you may never understand why ? people do as they do
however the one thing you can do about it is pray
I know that may sound like a flippant answer but when you really
understand all the benefits we have in it you will ask yourself
now why did I ever complain about all those significant things I thought I could not do a thing about
you did the most important thing already you put it out in the open

I used to do it to

then one night I was flipping through channels and heard a sermon about
(((though shalt not whine ))) and recognized the demonstrated illustration of ""this is the way we go to church"' ...was me
I got stood in the corner where I lost my religion
and got busy with a REAL relationship with Jesus
""Oh Happy day" when my soul was saved

    Ive always known since
God has a command called ""thou shalt not whine "

God is just to forgive all confessed sins 2010&Saved ((always stay in that way))
all our greatest battles are won on our knee's in
    I love your honesty
