    Default Pepsi and Political Correctness

    Dear Friends,
I received an e-mail from a friend and it appears that Pepsi has joined the political correctness bandwagon. It seems that Pepsi has put out a new can that is "patriotic" with the pledge of allegence on it, only it didn't put "under God" in the pledge because it didn't want to offend anyone.
If you are an avid Pepsi drinker, please withdraw you support from Pepsi.

With all people who profess they are Christians maybe Pepsi will have a change of heart and remove these cans or quote the pledge as it is written.
    God Bless

I'm sorry I can't quit drinking Pepsi, since I stopped drinking pop when I found out I had diabetes.

I've never seen such a Pepsi can, and until you can prove what you said with an actual photograph, I'll quote the Pepsi official website:

You've received an erroneous email about a "patriotic can" that Pepsi allegedly produced with an edited version of America's Pledge of Allegiance. The truth is, Pepsi never produced such a can. In fact, this is a hoax that has been circulating on the Internet for more than six years. A patriotic package used in 2001 by Dr Pepper (which is not a part of PepsiCo) was inappropriately linked to Pepsi. Thanks for giving us the chance to clarify the situation and please feel free to share this message with anyone else who may have received the erroneous email. Details of the hoax can be found at http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/undergod.asp.

And yes, such beverages are bad for your health, and I'm staying away from them all.

Sorry about this, but I trusted this friend, won't anymore, so please forgive.

It seems that there is more and more of this lying trash being circulated. My brother keeps sending me stuff like this, and I keep vetting it and telling him it is false. I guess that some people have too much time on their hands. They should be assigned to do concrete work so they can sleep at night! Some people work hard to establish a good reputation and they cherish it. Then something like this comes along and can destroy a life time of hard work.

9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
