For those of you who would find this more convenient.

    P.S. Helpful critique coming soon
1 Peter 2:9 (New International Version)

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

1 Peter 5:7-9 (New International Version)

Okay, I have two critiques which I hope will help you refine your videos at a future date. Both have a focus on your target group, which is going to be 9/10 youth aged people 12-30 or so.

First; get rid of the KGV. It's a great translation, many people swear by it, and a lot of people have grown up loving it. It also ads an almost extra-cultural flair because it is written in Elizibethian, as opposed to modern day english. That is the problem with it though. How many 12 year olds do you know that speaks Elizibethian? I don't have anything against it, but I find that as a 21 year old myself who is fairly educated and can understand what the text is saying in Elizibethian; my brain still mostly shuts off when I'm not trying to study it. It isn't something that is around, and it is going to be a very large hinderance to overcome for someone my age or younger.

The second thing is both a compliment and a critique. I love that you added a salvation pitch at the end. That is really what we are about; seeing people's eternal destiny changed. on that my friend. The one thing I didn't so much like about it though, was that it seemed to come out of no where. As someone intimately familiar with dispensationalism, I understand where you are coming from and the message you are trying to get across. Your audience will not. There is a problem today, which is to say that most people don't really understand what they are "getting saved" from. A permeating mentality among the unchurched is that Christianity is about "pie in the sky, by and by," or in other words, to escape from this world. That is not biblical Christianity, and it is also unattractive to those today who will be seeing your videos.

It would be helpful for you to give a quick rundown (or a lengthy one, depending on what you are trying to get across) of why exactly the gospel -- the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ -- is "good news" (quotes because gospel literally means "good news" if you didn't know). People hear all the time "you need to get saved," but don't know from what or why. Reflecting on this, like any act involving repetition, will also help to strengthen your understand and further develop your appreciation of basic Christianity.

Hope this helps you in your video-making future!

As most videos of this nature, the "creator" of the video never give enough time to read each slide. So, I just let it go; as most others will do when trying to view this.

Eco, reading this made me think of the old bumper stickers that were popular in the 1960's and 70's. They read: "Jesus is the answer" and many Christians had them on their crs. Then some wag came up with a sticker that read, "What's the question?" Exactly. The great preachers of old always preached man's condition and his destination, convicting men of their sin and their fate, before telling them of the blessed hope of Jesus Christ, the good news that He paid the price for our sins and all we need to do is believe that and Him. To tell people Jesus is the answer or that Jesus can save them is to tell most people something without meaning. A parachute would be nothing more than an unwanted heavy and cumbersome package to lug around with you unless you believed that shortly you were going to be falling thousands of feet to your death without it. First tell people the truth of what lies ahead and then give them the good news.

As we say in journalism, first give people the "why" before you give them the "what" or the "how". In other words, make them care—let them know why they should care—before you tell them the story. Otherwise they have no commitment to listen. But once they undestand WHY the story is important to them, they WILL listen.

Thank you everyone for the advice. Greatly appreciated. My main goal with my videos is to make Revelation more understandable to people. I will go back to the start and explain more about the good stuff rather then the what is yet to come. I will definitely work on those videos. I will make more either in between the Revelation series I'm working on or afterwards. I will most likely post my other videos on the forums as well so please continue to comment/advice me on what you all think. My long time goal with this is to get more in-depth with the entire bible so others can understand all of it. Once again thank you all for the help.
