Swine Flu shots

I need opinions of everyone interested. My wife has a very weak immune system and thinks it would be wise for her to get the shot. I'm concerned the sht might kill her but if she gets the swine flu it might kill her as well.
I've heard many stories about the vaccine and who knows what is true for sure.
I've decided to ask you all as brothers and sisters in Christ for your opinions as to get the shot or not.
I would not hold anyone responsible for there opinions as the final deision will be ours.

I think each of us needs to seek the Lord's direction and will for what is best for us. I would think if she's one of the persons who is susceptible to the flu perhaps it would be best for her to get it. However, ask God for His direction.

I have read some things on the internet about this swine flu outbreak and shot and asked my doctor last Wednesday his opinion of it when I was doing my annual physical. He told me that people who were exposed to the swine flu in (I think) 1976 actually have a little tolerance to this particular strain but he felt it was safe and the benefits outweighed the small risk. Again, it is a personal choice. I have got a seasonal flu shot for 15 years without any ill effects. My company provides them free to the employees. Something about it is cheaper for them to give the shots than have employees off work sick. Now I have heard the nasal injection is somewhat controversial because it injects an attenuated live virus but the shot injects a dead virus. From what I understand, the shot works better. Your best bet is to talk to your personal physician, and if you want to, maybe pray about it as well.

I wasn't going get it for myself or for my kids but after thinking about it, I
decided that I didn't want to spend this winter paranoid every time one of us
walked out the door that we were going to come back with H1N1. I decided to
pray and ask the Lord for no ill affects from the vaccine and just get it. Either way,

I have no faith in this shot and will do my best not to get it.The fact that many health professionals don't want it is quite telling.The ingredients, from what I've read, can be harmful.The shot boosts the immune system and that sounds like added stress to an alreadyy fragile immune system.These companies can't be sued for complications for a product they rushed to the market. If something goes wrong,they have the excuse,"Well,the person had previous complications,it wasn't the shot."The best advice would be to fast and pray on the matter.

I agree to seek the Lord's guidance whether or not to get the shot. DH and I have done just that and we do not feel the shot is necessary for us. We are in our upper 50's and generally pretty healthy.
I am thankful we actually have a choice in this matter.

My twenty-five year old son and I have decided not to get the shot. I don't like the ingredients of it for my son or myself.

No one should take this vaccine—it is one of the most dangerous vaccines ever devised. One’s best protection is vitamin D3. One should take 5000 IU a day now, and when the disease begins to spread increase the dose to 15,000 IU a day. Vitamin D3 modulates the immune reaction, reducing the chance of an overreaction and stimulates the body to produce what are called antimicrobial peptides, which are powerful killers of viruses that does not involve immunity. This is dose related, which means the higher the dose of vitamin D3 the better the protection. Fish oils
(the best is Carlson’s Norwegian lemon flavored fish oil) also reduce immune overreaction. One teaspoon a day should be sufficient. For severe symptoms, one teaspoon twice a day. Antioxidants of various kins also help—this includes, quercetin, curcumin, grapeseed extract, vitamin C and natural vitamin E. A good multivitamin/mineral such as Extend Core (Vitamin Research Products <http://www.vrp.com/> ) is also essential. We just use Vibe but whatever you find to use, use it.

I don't trust it. This flu has been hyped up for a long time. Obama or somebody has predicted a huge epidemic; who's to say the shot isn't formulated to cause it?

By news reports, the strain seems to be weakening. Mike, Ali, and I won't be getting it. Wash your hands, wear a mask if you have to, but I'm not going to spend time worrying about something like this. I have come to see that if there is something that the MSM and government are hyping, I stay away for good reason.

Are Vaccines Safe?

I am not saying the information in the article is not true, but about the author Dr Null, Wikipedia claims he sells self-produced films on his website (GARY NULL::Your Guide to Natural Living - HOME PAGE) that promote AIDS denialism (that is the belief that HIV is harmless or does not exist, and is not the cause of AIDS).
Reading one of the articles on his home page, it says "In recent years it has been shown that fluoridation is neither essential for good health nor protective of teeth"...

There is always more than one side to information... unless there is two different Dr. Gary Nulls...

I wish this was an easy decision, but I struggle with it too.....

No shot for me and my daughter. Sean Hannity, Glenn or Rush was reporting on a story today that a lady that was healthy got the shot and now has a non-curable neuro disease. She is/was an ambassador for one of the NFL teams.

The last time I took a flu shot was in 1978. Me and the rest of my unit were making final preps to make another overseas trip to, well, let's just say parts unknown. I told my Commanding Officer what the shot did to me the previous year but, he insisted. After taking the shot, I spent the next two weeks in the hospital. I made an oath, I'll NEVER again take a flu shot, regardless of the circumstances. Facing those two weeks back then was enough for a life time!

Like others here, had a flu jab and ended up in Hospital, that was over 8yrs ago, never again. Will trust in the Lord. Even though last yr I was in hospital with severe Pnuemonia, nearly croaked, God has other plans for me I guess. at least I am around to see our new grand daughter grow, now 8 months old and the light of our lives as well as Christ
My old GP asked me a cpl of yrs ago if I wanted a jab, said no way, and his words were, ME neither, he doesn't trust them for him or his kids.
To each his/her own, God gives us free will, no condemnation if we do or don't.

I am definately getting the vaccine,and I would give it serious thought, especially if you are a working in the health care field, or around pregnant women. My 16 y.o. granddaughter has the swine flu now and is very sick. If they would have had time, they would have included this into the seasonal flu vaccine this year. I find this paranoia ridiculous. We are seeing a real surge in our area. Believe me...YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET THIS FLU!!! Get your heads out of the sand!!! In my area...they are vaccinating health care workers first, then school children, then pregnant women...etc. I am thankful that this flu strain was identified early and a vaccine is available...google "1918 flu" and you will see why there is so much concern. There has been so much debate... you would think that there would be a panel of experts that come out and give a definitive answer on H1N1. There are LOTS of so-called experts that say "everyone should get the H1N1 vaccine". Then, there are LOTS of so-called experts that say " you'll have to make up your own mind... but I'm not getting it!"

There is lots of confusion out there about this H1N1 virus.

Hmmmm... that's right... the Word of God says something about confusion... and every evil work or something.

I did a series of GOOGLE searches on the H1N1 vaccine... and guess what... that causes even MORE confusion.

Some people are telling horror stories about getting the H1N1 vaccine; other people talk about how NOT getting the H1N1 vaccine will cause horror stories; other people talk about how they got the flu and almost died; there are some that got the flu and stayed home for a few days; others got the vaccine and got sick; then there are those that got the vaccine and nothing happened.

Confusing, eh? Reference my comment about confusion above.

Me thinks that "greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world"... so, as pointed out above.... trust in God... not in man.

Do that and all the confusion becomes irrelevant... because you step outside the confusion.

After all, there's a confusing saying about the confused leading the confused gets me confused; confusing, huh?

FYI, Council on Foreign Relations gave a speech encouraging everyone to get the swine flu shot on Fri.
