    Default Feast of Tabernacles

    Feast of Tabernacles

We will be required in the Millineum to attend this feast.

    Zechariah 14:16-19

16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.

18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

    What exactly is it?

    Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

The Feast of Tabernacles is the feast of ingathering, rest and thanksgiving. Israel celebrated it when they returned from the Exile (cf Neh. 8:14-18). The millenial reign of the Messiah is the realization of the Feast of Tabernacles.

Zechariah 14:17-19 Worshiping annually in Jerusalem will be necessary for the people to enjoy fertility of crops.

Those nations that neglect or refuse such opportunites for worship will forfeit their water supply.

For most nations this simply means they will have no rain.

But Egypt, whose irragation depends not on rain but rather on the flooding of the Nile, will still experience the plague of drought as punishments from the Lord, as will all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.
