This article is a few years old now but in a nation of 300 million, that statistic could very well be true. Just a guess.

Christianity today is not a very reliable source. Sadly, Islam is a religion of deception and propaganda so I am not sure anyone can know what the numbers are.

I do know that the news and movies show the REAL Islam "Not Without My Daughter"
with Sally Fields was a big eye opener.

Many people in the US are wiser than they were before and I doubt very much that they are gaining in acceptance and women are marrying to them.

The fact that Americans are so willing to abort their children and our country is allowing Middle East people to flood across our borders may make their numbers higher simply by attrition.

In fact I suspect it is a lot less than the Islamic organizations promote. I have read very high numbers on Islamic sites, supported by nobody but Muslim scholars.

In 2001 the Islamists claiemd there were more than 5 million Muslims in the States. That same year the US Census indicated there were just 1,104,000 Muslims in the country, an increase from 527,000 ten years earlier. By 2004 it was estimated that 1,558,068 people followed Islam in the US. If these figures are correct, then that works out to about 1 person out of every 144 Americans being a Muslim.

But 7 years earlier (in 1997) using Islamic figures, ABC News reported that "Islam is one of the fastest growing religions in America. As many as five million Muslims live in the United States and in the last five years, the number of mosques in this country has increased from 843 to about 1,300. Most of the growth has come from immigration, but much of it is home-grown. For many black Americans, Islam has become the religion of choice and some one million—mostly men—have converted. “It is an American phenomenon, which started in the ghettos of the north,” says Yvonne Haddad, a professor of history of Islam and of Christian-Muslim Relations at Georgetown University. “It is a response to racism…it is seen as the religion of liberation.” Louis Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam has become the most prominent black Islamic group in the United States."

Most non-Islamic experts do not believe a high percentage of women are converting to Islam. But they point to immigration and the difference in birth rates to explain the growing numbers. The average number of children in a US family is 2. In Canada it is 1.6. But for Muslim families the average number of children is 4.4.

But they believe that there is no problem with killing them in the womb and if Obama, the muslim, gets elected he will make it even easier, probably have cutsey commercials about all the sexy benefits to having an abortion and get those Christians to sacrifice their babies to the gods of money and self.
