At the store the other day, there was a knitting (or crocheting) book for prayer shawls and a huge story about them, etc. What are they and what is their use?
i do not know but i do not like the sound of it
prayer is talking to God right?
well i do not have much more to add execpt were they free?
God bless you;
Here is an information site on "prayer shawls":

May we search our own hearts as we seek discernment. The source originates in applied feminist spirituality, and I would urge caution in embracing this practice as presented.

Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
Just reading the description, it sounds a bit like a talisman. I know that tassels (tzitzit) were commanded in Numbers 15:38-40 to be added to the clothing of the men and that has translated to their wearing a small prayer shawl (tallit) under their shirts, but I don't think that this is anything like that. If I were going to get one, I'd get one from the folks who have been making them for centuries.![]()

Revelation 22:17a The Spirit and Bride are now saying, "Come!" The ones who hear are now saying, "Come!" The ones who thirst are now saying, "Come!"

Glad to read the responses. From what I could gather from the instruction manual, there was a picture of a woman pastor (my first red flag right there!) blessing a row of prayer shawls. From what I can tell, they are blessed and then people wear them for God's blessings. Oy, not something I am even interested in getting into. I do not need a shawl draped around my shoulders to receive God's blessings. He does just fine on his own! :o) Thank you all so much!
Are we there yet?
