Wendy's Restaurants Put Up Signs That Say 'We Stand With Chick-Fil-A' - Business Insider

Jim Furman, CEO of Tarheel Capital, is one of Wendy's biggest franchise owners (he has 86 locations), and he's making his support for Chick-fil-A known.
This morning, several of his Wendy's locations in North Carolina put up signs that read, "We stand with Chick-fil-A," reports the L.A. Times.
At least one of his South Carolina restaurants did the same,*according to WBTV 3.
The signs were taken down a few hours after they went up.
Today is Mike Huckabee's Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day, which encourages people to show their support for Chick-fil-A and its president Dan Cathy, who earlier made comments about gay marriage that sparked a political firestorm.

I'm glad he put the signs up, but... why did he take them down in just a few hours? Unfortunately that part of the news stands out in my brain.

Regardless I am glad that he, at least, stands with Chik-fil-A.

It was just one individual who owns many franchised restaurants and I'm sure the Wendys corporate office told him to take them down or risk losing his franchise.

He put the signs up on appreciation day, so I am thinking he had no plans to leave,the signs up all week. I think it was his way to show he supported them. Wendy's corporate may have asked him to take the sign down but he made his point. That's my opinion and I don't know for sure but that's what I think happened.
