Suing for what?? Religious discrimination against non-sect members?? You mean they won't let the Methodists marry 15 women or something??

Surely you're not suing because of their polygamy. What moral grounds would you stand on?? You've celebrated sodomites marrying...you've opened the door for polygamy, marrying their mules, rocks and anything else imaginable. And what moral reason do you use to argue against polygamy? Fools!

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - The U.S. Justice Department has sued two polygamous towns along the Utah-Arizona border, claiming religious discrimination against non-sect members.

The federal civil rights lawsuit was filed Thursday against the towns of Hildale, Utah, and Colorado City, Ariz.

Most residents in both towns are members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, run by the group's jailed leader Warren Jeffs.

Jeffs is serving a life sentence in Texas after convictions on child sex and bigamy charges, but he is said to still maintain control of the FLDS communities.

The lawsuit comes after Legislatures in Utah and Arizona failed to pass bills to abolish the local police department for the communities.

Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne has argued the officers flout the law in favor of FLDS policies.

I am against Mormonism, but Bible does NOT forbid polygamy. I'm not endorsing it, but it IS permitted by Bible.

I don't think permited is the correct term. God didn't condone it, but it was very practiced. But the big issue is that the families that practiced polygamy were extreamly disfunctional. For example look at Abraham, Jacob, and David. Polygamy isn't God's design for a family because if it was God would have given Adam a few extra wives to help populate the earth.

The scripture does not "allow" polygamy. It does faithfully report history in which some men did have multiple wives. It is never portrayed in a positive light.

The scriptural example that the Lord gave was one man and one woman. This is His will for our lives.

Marrying more than one woman is adultery. An offense carried out against the first wife. It is specifically forbidden. when Israel strayed they were also guilty of Spiritual Adultery.
