Like the stars forever and ever.

doh! Re: Judge Suggests Chopping 10 Commandments Down to 6

Am breathless, don`t they know what they would be doing, the first four commandments are about our relationship with god, the other six are about our relationship with one another. Would love to do another bible study on the ten commandments, anyone on here have such a study.

After raising many pointed questions about whether the commandments pass legal muster, the judge referred the case to mediation - with a suggestion: "Remove the first four commandments, which are clearly religious in nature, and leave the remaining six, which make more secular commands, such as do not kill or steal."
And on what basis do those latter six stand? Because man thinks they are good? No, that is societal, not universal. The latter six stand ONLY because of the prior four: The fact that God is and that He has set certain requirements for man to live by.

However, we spend a lot of time discussing the ten commandments which were the law of Moses. The external obedience to them is not enjoined in the New Testament. Rather we have two new commandments— two commandments which Christ said summed up those ten (and all the other ordinances): "Love the Lord your God with all of your heart, mind, soul, and strength; and your neighbor as yourself." And it is those two which should concern us and govern us. Indeed, since God—through what Christ has done and by our acceptance of that—has written his law on our hearts, those two commandments WILL govern us and WILL be more and more walked out in our lives ... unless we are walking a life of disobedience to God ... in which case I would suggest that person is not saved, regardless of the words they may have said with their mouth.

Default Federal Judge Suggest Cutting Ten Commandments Down To Six

Federal judge suggests cutting Ten Commandments down to six - Interviews - The O'Reilly Factor - Fox News

If you visit the Supreme Court you'll notice the 10 commandments on display. Traditionally the United States has been defined as a Judeo-Christian nation that is we based our laws on religious tradition -- what is right and what is wrong.

But now a Federal Judge Michael Urbanski, suggesting that the 10 commandments be reduced to six. Here now to explain the "Culture Warriors" Jeanine Pirro and Gretchen Carlson. All right, Carlson, what exactly is the -- is the legal case surrounding Judge Urbanski's ruling?

I would suggest this federal judge place the following 7 items on the proverbial chopping block:

    his brain,
    hin intellect,
    his heart,
    his central nervous system,
    his respiratory system,
his kidneys, liver, intestines and colon,
    his eyes, ears and nose.

A full 40% of these items should be forfeited by this federal judge in order to neutralize those things which uniquely make him a sentient human being.

Oops my bad, obviously the judge has already accomplished my suggestion as evidenced by the mindless, intellectually compromised, senseless and spineless opinion he has put forward.

He's gonna make for one fine and upstanding citizen in the Antichrist's coming worldly kingdom.

You got that right. Every morning/evening it seems there are 3, 4, 5, 6 stories detailing some new decision or change that either exalts some form of depravity OR is directly attacking the scriptures and the Lord.

I read the article and then read some of the comments in the area below the story. Good gravy...the adherents to homosexuality were in the comment section blazing away at the Bible and God. Man...those are some angry folks. I just cannot fathom hating the Lord like that.

dumb and dumber, he is not very smart judge. Take that up with God Almighty and He will explain why it will remain the 10 Commandments and not 6.

Since this judge is all righteous, wise, creating and all knowing, why stop at just six? If the "judge" is this arrogant to eliminate four of them, then surely he is capable and enlightened enough, in his mind's eye, to do away with the rest.
