(NewsCore) - A controversial Florida pastor held another Koran-burning ceremony outside his church to protest the imprisonment of a Christian clergyman in Iran, The Gainesville Sun reported.

Jones, who made headlines worldwide by videotaping a similar Koran-burning ceremony in March 2011, burned several copies of the Islamic holy book alongside an image depicting the Muslim prophet Muhammad on Saturday evening.

About 20 people gathered for the ceremony outside the Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Fla., during which Jones demanded the release of Youcef Nadarkhani, an Iranian pastor, currently in jail for apostasy after converting from Islam to Christianity.

Moments after the burning, the Gainesville Fire Rescue issued a citation against the church, claiming it did not have the required authorization to burn books.

The church will be fined $271, including court costs, fire chief Gene Prince told the newspaper.

The pastor, who is the head of the church, went ahead with the controversial ceremony despite reports that the Pentagon urged him not to, as it could put US soldiers in Afghanistan and elsewhere at risk.

The 2011 Koran-burning ceremony unleashed days of bloody protests in Afghanistan, during which an attack on a United Nations compound left seven staff members dead.

Koran is a false book ,from a false religion !But God gave us all rights, and i say what he's doing is wrong. Not because it could flame the tensions,i believe its the islamist rights to read it..God will take care of them and their god satan at Armageddon !!Its his fight not ours.Just as i don't and wont be silent on calling islam,Catholicism ,all false religions, nor will i keep silent on calling what God calls sin.I have freedom of speech as we all do in this world ,........

All this does is put more American lives at risk of death. Apparently this pastor doesn't care about that at all.

I myself couldn't think of anything that would come out of this other than American soldiers' lives being put at even more risk than they already are.

I suppose Mr. Jones missed all the attention he got during the initial fuss and, since everything has died down, feels he needs more.

They don't need an excuse. They'll do anything they can get away with and come up with an excuse if they need one.

Latest Muslim Terror Attack on Christians

    April 29, 2012

ISLAMIST GROUP VOWS TO KILL ALL OF NIGERIA'S CHRISTIANS.

At least 16 Christians were murdered today while attending church services in Kano, Nigeria, the nation’s second-largest city. As many as 22 other worshippers reportedly suffered gunshot wounds.

The massacre took place on the campus of Kano’s Bayero University. Police report that gunmen interrupted the church service and used small explosives to chase worshippers out before shooting those who fled.

This is but the latest violent attack upon Christians in Muslim-majority nations in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Such attacks increased more than 300 percent between 2003 and 2010, according Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a research fellow at the America Enterprise Institute.

In no country do Christians face greater danger than Nigeria, where the radical Islamist sect Boko Haram (which means “Western education is sacrilege”) has publicly declared its intent to kill all Christians in the country.

And that was no idle threat.

In 2011, the terror group killed more than 500 Christians, while burning down or destroying more than 350 Christian churches. And Boko Haram continues its jihad against Nigeria’s Christian community in 2012, killing 54 in January, 38 this month at an Easter church service and, today, 16 murdered in Kano.

What particularly troubles is that the alarming increase in genocidal attacks against Christians witnessed not only in Nigeria, but throughout the Muslim World, has generated little outrage in the United States, Europeand the rest of the non-Muslim World.

Ali, who authored a recent Newsweek cover story on the Muslim “War on Christians,” attributes that unconscionable silence to the outsized influence of such well-financed lobbying groups as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Individuals and organizations that call attention to Muslim atrocities against Christians – like the attack this morning in Nigeria– are accused by those lobbying groups (and others) of being “Islamaphobic.”

Of course, that accusation is patently absurd. No less so than the claim that Islam is a religion of peace.

Wonder if he thought his actions were genuinely going to help the Iranian pastor...

Should be interesting after Friday morning prayers in Kabul and elsewhere around Afghanistan, the Mullah's tend to rev up the mobs on that day in particular, will wait and see.

While this may well be true, I couldn't blame him if he's heaqrtily sick and tired of muslims and their neverending violence...

Pray Re: Terry Jones Burns More Korans

May I remind you of a few scriptures that might help us to gain a peaceful perspective of these events for you who believe and love our Lord.

All things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose.
We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against powers and principalities in heavenly places.
They persecuted me (Jesus) how much more those who keep my commandments

Peter was burned on a cross upside down
    John was boiled in oils
Thousands have been and will be beheaded for the faith
Who are these dressed in white robes?
These are those who have been beheaded for Christ

Are you willing to suffer for Christ unto death. It is coming to the land of the free you know.

Was this pastor right to burn the Koran? No Christian in the Spirit of Christ can say this was right. However, haven't we all fallen here or there and wondered how we could have been so blind?

What will come of this? That is easy. Muslim hatred for Christians will boil. But are we not in the last days when they are going to take over for a time and kill all who refuse to become their slaves?
Satan put it in the hearts of the Jewish people to murder Jesus, he will do the same here.

But great is your reward in heaven. The greatest service we can do for Christ is to be a martyr. In today's western world this kind of thinking will be labelled as schizophrenic and a Messiah complex but isn't this what we are called to? Christians in the west are spoiled. I know I am spoiled.

I wish we could all ask what would Jesus do before we speak or act as this pastor did.

Satan will use our flesh if we are not always on guard against his ways as he has this pastor. And as he has many Christians on the many forums on the web.

I pray that the Holy Ghost will take hold of this pastor and deliver him.
