Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez wept and asked God to spare his life during a pre-Easter Mass on Thursday after returning from his latest session of cancer treatment in Cuba.


Very little is known about the 57-year-old socialist leader's condition, including even what type of cancer he has. Chavez has undergone three operations in less than a year, and received two sessions of radiation treatment.

Shouldn't we pray that the man gets saved.?..to my knowledge The Lord does not take pleasure in the death of the wicked.....and there is hope for the hopeless because of Jesus.....before I was saved ,in my stupidity and ignorance of the truth,I was pro Palestinians,because that was the political position of the PCI ( Italian Communist Party) of the time ( 1970's)......of course Satan uses all manner of ways and means to keep us blinded to the truth of the gospel...after I got saved I had a great love for Israel,I even went in the Rome Synagogue and tried to convert the usher there!

Victory belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ. Worthy is the Lamb of God, for His blood paid for us all. Truly sad, and while I agree this man is deluded, the focus in my view is not on God's anger to those who curse Israel or deny God; that is for Him to act on. I pray for him, for if he truly sees the error of his ways, and falls on his knees before our powerful and Almighty God, praise the Lord for His mercy is ENDLESS and extends to even those who shake their fist at God. For if the shaking of their fist turns into shaking of their body in prayer and crying tears of contriteness to God, acknowledging HIS AUTHORITY and that HE WHO IS I AM loves, then the eyes of his heart will be opened.

More and more, I feel the Holy Spirit compelling me to pray for the lost. They who are oblivious to what is coming, woe unto them who deny God. GOD PAID FOR US IN HIS SUFFERING. Wow, can I get an Amen? Seriously, the more I pray and think on what God has done...truly I am humbled.

All glory and power belong to God the Father, who Was, and Is, and forever Will Be. I am not to judge, as I said, that belongs to God. Much of the world—and most of the church— believe in justice, judgment and mercy. Mercy is what everyone wants for them self; justice and judgment is what they want for others. Thank God, we did not see the fruit of justice in our lives! Thank God we did not receive the judgment we richly deserved! Because of Jesus WE received mercy. And He died that ALL might live. God loved the world—that is to say, every single person in it—so much that He gave His Son for it. Not just for us who presently believe, not just for those whom we think may believe, but for EVERYBODY. As we who are saved from the penalty of our sin received mercy not judgment, grace not justice, how can we not pray for the same for others? Or do we think perhaps we weren't as bad as them? Well, literally no one has, but by not praying for him, I would consider that condemnation since it's not showing him mercy as we have been shown. Yes God can even bring murderers of His people to become His servants.

Remember the Apostle Paul hunted down new believers in Christ and he was there at the stoning of Steven.

Many who seem to be beyond salvation can be brought to their knees to repent and receive Christ.
