Obama to Russia: More flexibility after elections

President Obama assured Russian President Dmitry Medvedev Monday that he'd have "more flexibility" after the November election, during a conversation that appeared to focus on the touchy issue of missile defense.

Obama, during a sit-down with Medvedev in Seoul, urged Moscow to give him "space" until after November. The conversation was relayed by a TV pool producer who listened to the recording from a Russian journalist.

"This is my last election. After my election, I have more flexibility," Obama told Medvedev.

Obama appeared to be asking Medvedev to relay this point to Vladimir Putin, who recently won election to return to the Russian presidency.

"On all these issues, but particularly missile defense ... this can be solved but it's important for him to give me space," Obama said.

Medvedev told the president he understood the "message about space. Space for you ..."

After Obama noted he'd have more flexibility in the future, Medvedev told him: "I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir."

Interesting (maybe scary is correct word?) is that Obama is speaking with the confidence of someone who 'knows' that his re-election to the presidency is a done deal.

Aye, I know that sounds like a conspiracy theory, but considering the GOP still does not have a defined presidential candidate since Santorum, even though he only has half the delegates of Romney, is insisting on staying in the battle, I foresee the democrats using this fracture to their advantage.

God help us all if this man is re-elected.

Many things he will do..That's why he keeps saying with the Quartet that there will be a peace deal with Palestinians and Israel by the end of 2012!!!!, and his final act of destroying America! I have said it before, and i'm saying again,He will be Elected again. If we're as close as many, many think we are, and my understanding of prophecy. Obama, in Gods plan and will, will stay in Power, whether that stems from a WWIII, or just being part of Gods plan..

That is what I was thinking. He acts like he has this election in the bag. The way the candidates for the GOP are acting and the way the delegates are split so equally, might prove Obama the winner. The Republican party needs to stop messing around and stand strong with the candidate that can beat Obama, so he can begin to run against Obama and quit having to waste so much time fighting each other.

Honestly, the way the GOP is behaving it almost seems like they want a weakened front when they come up against Obama.

I for one do not like that Mitt Romney is a Mormon, however, he is the strongest opponent against Obama. We HAVE to get that man out of office.

On that note, above would explain why the U.S. is not mentioned in end time prophecy, it looks like we are going to be united with the losing team. If Obama hangs around that is.

Ok so we have these little off the cuff comments, but if you actually consider what Obomba is implying, he sounds over confident that he can put everything on hold until after the elections , in which he can then offer Russia more flexibaility.

Seems to be quite speculative on his behalf , unless its all pre-empted.

This may be God's way to let Israel know that it can't count on Obama. Even though this second episode of speaking while a microphone is on isn't specifically about Israel, it impacts the Jews as much as it does the US.
