I'm with you
so seriously sickened with this ridiculous appeasement position our Leaders are taking ,what is even more disgusting is the fact some totally fictitious book called "Holy" by these murdering fanatics , takes precedence so overwhelmingly ,over every single peace keeping law in "ALL" Lands and were making apologies
![]()
what do you suppose the apologetic blithering idiots are prepared to offer as for condolences to the grieving families of this U.S. Colonel and Major ?
Insanityof outrageous proportion is plaguing the minds of people .
when a fictitious book obviously IDOLIZED is more valued than a human life what pray tell does it say unequivocally regarding these raging murdering fanatics ?
given enough time and leverage they would leave no life livingas if there fictitious book can somehow justify them
Its a obvious satanic driven frenzy where reasoning and peace can never be tolerated .
the insane business of any National leader tolerating this, and making apology because protocol demands """trash""" has to be burned , is reason enough to demand they have no business
running any business militarily or otherwise
I can only imagine how infuriated and totally insulted beyond rational reasoning the families of those fallen men are ?
why are Americans even tolerating this same old religious war ? where fanatics are allowed to rage and kill over some book these brainwashed hate mongering murdering people worship?
no chance of peace or even talk of it with these people will ever prosper![]()
An apology over the koran burning incident is not the way to go, it further inflames the situation. Since when has the Afghan government ever issued a formal apology for our soldiers loss of life. More importantly, an apology only serves to (in the mind of muslims) justify rioting and killing westerners.
The Taliban are licking their lips over this, its given them a way to reach out and touch the people and attempt to win favour. Burning a koran only ever hands the enemy the edge they seek, it unfortunately gives justification to their cause in the eyes of many muslims. In a war where hearts and minds operations are essential, the act is detrimental to say the least and has deeper implications than people may think. So, for those who condone and decide they want to burn a koran and post it on youtube or the like please spare a thought for those who will pay the ultimate price for your actions. There are smarter ways to combat the enemy.
Kabul is extremely tense at the moment, there is zero movement by the expat community and all ministries etc etc have been vacated for the time being until the threat subsides. Have just returned from a tour round the city and the expression on the local nationals faces and looks pointed in my direction were not happy ones.
I pray for the families of the 4 US citizens who lost their lives over the last two days, that the Lord may ease their pain and suffering in their time of loss.
You know, if you applied Rules of Engagement such as Deuteronomy 20, the tragedies of your modern wars could have been avoided. But then, the ACLU would never allow such a thing, proving that they too should be subject to verse 20:13. Traitors in the ranks are always worse than the strongest external foe and should be dealt with accordingly. You'll never be able to force savages like the Afghans to be anything other than what they are....only The Lord can change a leopard's spots, and it seems He isn't about to do so in that country, and certainly not by the sullied hands of the Manchurians masquearding as your government. An unenviable situation to be in.....the solution is not to volunteer for foreign games of empire, no matter how clever the propaganda and alluring the emotional rabblerousing.
lol sorry Micah but I need to enlighten you to the fact that not "all" Afghans are savages lol!
Some are Christians, not many but theres still some. Many moderate muslim Afghans are good people that will bend over backwards to help you out...some of them are well educated and are very down to earth people.
lol sorry I'm still laughing at the "savages" comment!
Sorry, I know I shouldn't generalise, and all humans are depraved with some enjoying grace unto salvation, but on average in a society like Afghanistan one can expect to find a people devoid not only of genuine personal faith but also devoid of a culture shaped by Judeo-Christian morality. The British found that out, the Russians after them, and now you. And increasingly, we will find the same thing in the post-Christian west. Your adventure over there is proving that you can build infrastructure and apologise for being different until your lips turn purple, but they'll only despise you more and feel more encouraged to kill you. I'd explain more and better but I have a killer headache. Wait out until the pain goes....
The offical US-Afghan military cover-up of the murder of 22-year old Marine Lance Cpl. Edward (Eddie) J. Dycus has just been revealed.
Lance Cpl. Dycus, from Greenville, Mississippi, was murdered by a shot to the back of his head while standing guard duty by an Afghan soldier on duty with him during the night of Jan. 31-1 Feb.
The Qur'an burning occurred on 20 February, virtually 3 full weeks prior to this murder. Therefore applying the politically correct rationale of muslim outrage simply does not exist here. This is atypical islamic treachery plain and simple.
This islamic treachery is further complicated that the official Pentagon announcement that L.Cpl. Dycus' death occurred "while conducting combat operations" in Afghanistan's Helmand Province is pure bunkum. A bald-faced lie to Dycus' family and the entire American nation. Dycus' family has now been informed of the truth. So has all of America. Outrage doesn't even begin to describe the current mood among US military ranks.
The Associated Press just a released a report stating:
One lone American soldier going on a murderous rampage of his own recently is without a doubt the tip of an iceberg of rage within the ranks of US troops in Afghanistan. No wonder SECDEF Panetta had the Marines at Camp Leatherneck completely disarmed before he spoke. I can just imagine what will occur should such islamic treachery be allowed to continue. The Associated Press inquired about the Dycus case after Maj. Gen. John Toolan, the top Marine commander in Afghanistan at the time, said in an AP interview March 7 that the Afghan government has been embarrassed by recent cases of Afghan soldiers turning their guns on their supposed partners.
"I had one just a month ago where a lance corporal was killed, shot in the back of the head, and the Afghan minister of defense was here the next day" to discuss custody of the shooter, Toolan said, speaking from his Regional Command-Southwest headquarters at Camp Leatherneck.

Prior Preparation Prevents Pathetically Poor Performance (one "P" rephrased...)
1. Refuse duty with Afghans. If this would lead to a charge of disobedience, proceed to following points.
2. Accept duty with Afghans, but disarm them first.
3. If on duty with Afghans, have a buddy nearby at all times. Armed and alert, of course. Never ever go anywhere or be anywhere alone.
4. Tell Afghans sharing duty: "Nothing personal, but if you act strange in any way, you'll be shot".
5. If you are in Afghanistan, get out.
6. If you are not in Afghanistan, don't go there.
7. You are not safe anywhere (no, not even in Fort Wherever). Trust The Lord only, keep your Bible open, your powder dry and your eyes open, your nose to the grindstone, your ear to the ground. This is an uncomfortable position, but better than being flat on your back at room temperature.
They need to turn that soldier over to the Afghan government. He violated their laws and he can face their justice....
That's NOT how the United States UCMJ works, especially in a war zone. The soldier in question is currently enroute to an American military prison at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas even though he has yet to be formally charged with a crime. Innocent until proven guilty by a Courts Martial.
This came after three tours in Iraq, and a severe combat injury which resulted in the loss of a part of his foot and a severe brain injury. Why was he further deployed to Afghanistan after being told his unit would not redeploy to Afghanistan? Why was he failed by his superior officers?
Outrageous!!! And that comment is in relation to the story Sean posted above: APNewsBreak: New case of Afghan killing Marine. Such a treacherous bunch! And what a disservice to Americans that so many of these cases have been covered up by the Pentagon. Thank God they are finally being revealed.

Sean,
The US routinely hands citizens over to the country where a crime has been committed by that citizen. This should be no different....
And 3 tours of duity does not excuse what he did....and the latest reports indicate that he was drinking.... and if true that is a big no no in combat zone. If he really does have a brain injury, then he should have been medically discharged after it happened....
If an Afghani did that here to American families, you can bet your last $ that justice would be meted out here in the states....
YEMM,
Two things you are probably unware of.
1.) UCMJ 812. ART. 12. CONFINEMENT WITH ENEMY PRISONERS PROHIBITED
No member of the armed forces may be placed in confinement in immediate association with enemy prisoners or other foreign nationals not members of the armed forces.
2.) There has been a US-Afghanistan Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) in effect since 2003.
In the case of Afghanistan, the SOFA, in force since 2003, provides that U.S. Department of Defense military and civilian personnel are to be accorded status equivalent to that of U.S.
Embassy administrative and technical staff under the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961.
Accordingly, U.S. personnel are immune from criminal prosecution by Afghan authorities and are immune from civil and administrative jurisdiction except with respect to acts performed outside the course of their duties. The Government of Afghanistan has further explicitly authorized the U.S. government to exercise criminal jurisdiction over U.S. personnel.
Thus, under the existing SOFA, the United States would have jurisdiction over the prosecution of the servicemember who allegedly attacked the Afghan civilians.

Handing over soldiers to a foreign government is ill-advised, troops need to know they are protected and taken care of by their own.
Not excusing the murder of women and children, just stating a fact.
Krs762,
He was not acting under direct orders and this is why I believe he should not be offered protection by our government.
There is a difference between foillowing reasonable orders under combat and deciding to have some drink and going on a killing rampage (which is what these rules are meant to protect the troops from)
Sean,
I understand what you are saying and in this case I think he is getting off lucky...
