LOS ANGELES (AP) — Whitney Houston, who ruled as pop music's queen until her majestic voice and regal image
were ravaged by drug use, erratic behavior and a tumultuous marriage to singer Bobby Brown, has died. She was 48.

Houston's publicist, Kristen Foster, said Saturday that the singer had died, but the cause and the location of her death were unknown.

It's so sad how money and fame can give you every material thing you desire but suck the life right out of you at the same time. I pray she is with the Lord right now.

I think this is very sad. At one time I considered her to have the most beautiful voice I had ever heard, and was one of the most beautiful women too.
Did she ever talk about her faith? Did she ever claim to be born-again? I sincerely hope she is in a much "better place" now, but it's only a hope at this point, I'm not all that confident...

Here is a video where she says she Loves the Lord and is not ashamed to say it. it is a rather long video and an old one . It is ten minutes long , but she says she loves Jesus at the beginning of the video when she comes on stage. The video's quality isn't the best .
I so hope she is with the Lord tonight.

Her family definitely has my sympathies. I'm not sure what she believed in the end, though I do hope and pray that she was indeed saved. Who am I to judge on that? I didn't know her or the situation. Though I do have to agree about her marriage to Bobby Brown. It was a train wreck after that. Drugs and alcohol have been the down fall of many people.

I guess it sheds light on one thing....

The question to ask is whether a Born-Again Christian can cease being a Born-Again Christian. The answer to this question is, yes, a Believer can stop believing, a Christian can stop being a Christian, and the Born-Again can turn his back on Salvation and become lost-again. Even superficial reading of the Bible will reveal any number of personalities who were at one time within the Grace of God, but who subsequently fell from Grace. After their fall from Grace, these individuals became lost (Ezek. 28:12-19; Mat. 25:41; Gen. 1:26-31; Lk. 3:38; Lev. 10:1-2).

The Bible clearly states that we are saved by Grace through Faith (Eph. 2:8). We are further told that the just shall live by Faith (Heb. 10:38). Salvation is given to the Believer, not by works or by acts of righteousness, but as a gift through the act of Faith. It is, of course, maintained in exactly the same way.

If we loved Whitney this much how much more does Gods love her. Lets hope Gods Grace runs deeper then our understanding of it.

They are awaiting the final report from the Coroner but they say that she died in a bathtub in the
hotel where she was staying. She had water in her lungs.

Thats tragic and only middle age

maybe she drowned
I suppose they wont say if it was accidental or not yet
so tragic for her and her family
we should pray for her remaining Loved ones
that would be the worst news in the world to them
