The above article stated that Scarlett Johansson told people not to vote for Republicans because they were unfasionable, and that Obama and the Democrats brought a sense of fasion to the country. Her endorsement carries even less(far less) weight than Donald Trump's.

P.S. What I find laughable is that this is news worthy, and Scarlett's value of "fashion." She may have been speaking tongue in cheek, but we have to be so careful with what we say. Many will read her comments and instantly dismiss her as shallow. That was my first impression, but I don't know enough about her. billiefan2000 is correct, that we should pray for her salvation.

For one thing he gets a free pass, most of the time, from the liberal media. He's pretty savvy, and so are his team of "advisors." He tries to appeal to a broad audience with the exception of the moral, social, and fiscal conservatives. We live in a climate of anxiety, fear and defeatism, and many people want someone who will tickle their ears, and tell them that the government will take care of them. He's made some big news in foreign affairs, such as the Obama story.

I know what you mean. I do think it's a fruitful thread. Scarlett and Donald have some folks praying for them, and that's a very good thing. We often forget to pray for the celebrities and the wealthy.

The sad part is people will listen to her dispite her lack of common sense and sound reasoning regarding why she would not vote for a republican...


I can give you a far better set of reasons:

1. None of the current candidates are really Republicans, they are Democrats that are not as far left as their party is. They still want government solutions to our problems

2. ALL of the candidates have serious moral issues

3. I want to know what exactly they are going to do to get rid of this 15+ trillion in debt and what exactly they are going to do to end all of these life of the country draining entitlement programs.

4. NONE of them have come out with a solid set of reasons as to why they are better than our current President

BTW, here is my list with DEFEND ISRAEL AT ALL COSTS at the top

A. We will REDUCE FEDERAL SPENDING without cutting defence
B. We will no longer go on the "I'm sorry for what America did" tour
C. We will reinstate previous military standards regarding pre martial sex
D. We will allow the individual states to decide if they want subsidized health care
E. We will GET RID OF all immigrants who are not here legally
F. Marriage stays defined as a union under God between 1 man and 1 woman
G. No more insider trading allowed by congress
H. Federal Employee Unions got to go and their wages adjusted according to what is market demand and performance. We as the tax payers demand accountability for the work that the employees do. Government works for US, not the other way around.
I. We are a CHRISTIAN nation and as such, our laws are done accordingly (this means Rowe vs Wade has got to go)
J. New Federal Employess no longer get a pension, they get a 401K and a match inline with the workforce average. Those employees already getting a pension continue to get it and those still working that have penison accrued get that and are transitioned over to a 401K going forward with an increased match percentage to compensate. (IE if you have 5 years vested you get 5 year pension payment +401K)
K Congress goes back to not being paid....nor compensated with any benefits Then maybe they will get out of our hair and go back to actually working at a real job.
L. Whatever the average age of a male lives to be is the starting age for collecting SS benefits. this was how the program was originally setup..

IRS and everyone pays a flat 10% on their gross income at the Federal level and 5% at the state level, no refunds credits or other incentives.

Basically this is any department of [insert whatever here] that does not have to do with defence or the NHSTB (we actually need those guys since the do provide a protection of the populace in regards to transportation)

The way our government was setup was in a nutshell

Federal responsible for National Defence and making sure the states treat each other fairly (IE CA cannot charge a tariff or fee on AZ residents for coming into the state or importation of goods from that state while letting people and goods from Washington state pass freely).
