Prop. 8 overturned in California, court says state can

What's the point of voting if a judge can overpower it. As a life-long Californian I'm worried that the public school system is gonna force this garbage down my kids throat like they do with evolution. What a mess this State is in.

I'm so sorry. It is discouraging isn't it? But...it does make the heart yearn all that more for God's Kingdom. And..someday it will all be made right again.

I can't say I'm too suprised by this coming from California and coming to a state near you! Of course we can't and never will pass an amendment in Mississippi of all places that prevents the murder of unborn children. Now all they have to do is claim discrimination on the part of people of faith that they can't get married in their religious institutions. Then they'll try to force that upon people as well. I have never met any homosexuals who were or could be 100% commited to one another, though this seems to be the norm these days rather than the exception to the rule as many heterosexual couples consider marriage to be an archaic instiution from the past. I had one genius at work flat out tell me that it just wasn't necessary anymore. I do have to agree with what business the government has being involved in a person's marriage anyway. I know about the tax breaks, but that wasn't the reason I got married to my wife. I got married because I love her and I was brought up to believe this was the way things were supposed to be. Otherwise people would be living in sin. Leave marriage to the churches and other religious institutions in my opinion. I read one article from an English news source that said the only people getting married in England were Muslims and homosexuals. That most heterosexual couples weren't even bothering, that they were typically just cohabitating. Remember though, seeing evil as good and good as evil. This is a messed up world we are currrently living in, please come soon Lord.

I think it's actually worse. If it's unconstitutional in CA then it's unconstitutional in every state. This judge pretty much just declared same-sex marriage legal in all states.
