He follows Black Liberation Theology. It's not Christianity. Salvation along with many other words Jesus used are 'code words' for them meaning help the poor, get socialism, etc. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are of the group also, they call themselves reverends yet campaign for gay rights....hmmm....they believe in a progessive and collective salvation that comes from elevating the poor or the under-dog of society be they are poor, gay, minority, etc.

The guy was a member of a church for 20 years--that has a "pastor" who blasphemed the Holy name of God from the pulpit. Used God's name in vein.

I have yet to hear Obama claim who Jesus was/is. Even a Mormon will tell you they believe in Jesus. Even the Muslims believe in Jesus--that he as a prophet--but never will you hear Jesus was the Son of God and God in the flesh to pay the sacrifice for us.

Obama is hiding under the name of some god and I do not believe it is the God of Creation. This is a political move to uplift the religious christian groups for their vote. The true God if that is what Obama is trusting under would not allow abortion with the killing of life. Jesus was life and loved the little children. I believe the devil is working in Obama to deceive many. It is utmost apparent we as true bible believing Christians seek God to lead us to the truth in Jesus Christ. This liberation theology may or may not be the "religion" Obama practices. I think when he got into politics he was advised to get involved in a religion and Obama picked the one that would require the least amount of involvment of himself.

I see so much support for Muslims, in this country and in other's so it is hard to ignore his ties to Islam.

If he did, he wouldn't need to point out how other religions have a similar belief. I don't know, but have other 'Christian' presidents felt the need to show parallels of other beliefs to justify an action? Or would they simply tout the benefits to the country as a whole? It just seems to me that the more he talks, the more I believe that he doesn't 'believe' anything except the need to proclaim a relgious faith in order to not ostracize the non-atheist voters.

The one interview I heard on the radio was interesting. The guy being interviewed was an expert on Islam, and he had credentials though I can't remember them all. He stated that President Obama was raised as a Muslim, and no one ever heard about him converting to any denomination of Christianity, which according to Islam means he is still a Muslim. I mean I'm not sure, but I have to agree that if he were a Bible believing Christian he wouldn't be for some of the things he has done. As far as the health care law, it is a good thing in that it will allow people to have health insurance when they ordinarily would not have it. I do hope it does help to keep costs down, though I am hearing issues with it already. That and all of the countries with these socialized programs are not really doing all that much better than the U.S. financially right now. Well many of them aren't doing so well. This is making me think about the riots in Greece over the austerity measures there. That and the EU is continuing to have to bail out member nations. No man made institution is perfect and all have their failings.

Political theater, plain and simple and it is detestable and shallow. Sadly, some will believe him on the religious left but they are deceived to begin with. throw this speech on all the others where he has done violence to The Word of God and forced it to say something it never said.

From an outside US perspective (new Zealand) I refrain to be judgmental.

But to be discerning is an exception.

I ask myself these question of Barrack (6) Hussein (7) Obama (5) (total letters in name =18....)

Is there a defined religious affiliation such as other president ie Bush? NO! no obvious one. I do not know for sure what religion he stands for.

I remember he was forced to remove himself from his Church prior to the last elections due to the blasphemous, preacher, so Obama can improve his public image.

Is he arrogant? Without a doubt this man is welling up with arrogance and self confidence and has the tenacity to eliminate opponents by creating a pre conceived outcome , to make the public believe there are no other options.

But for me ....its the blasphemy I cant handle....

Arapahoepark in post 3 is correct, but OB is also favorable toward Islam for sure. In the thread it looks like different people see different sides. A very good documentary on OB and Lib Theology Breitbart.tv » Economics of Obama’s Liberation Theology Explored tells where he comes from.

That said His Jesus is not our Jesus. But this illustrates a very good point on how easy it is to be deceived. Most people who hear him say Jesus become very confused because they do not know Jesus themselves or because they are very shallow in their walk with Christ, not having the ability to discern true good from pseudo-good. Obama will have these people in his corner because they just take him for his word. The educated non-believer knows it is a ruse and a political move to secure votes, which they do not outcry against because they want him in office and they know he needs the votes of as many as possible. I have yet to see any documentary written by non-believers directed to non-believers trying to persuade them to not vote for Obama because he supports Jesus. If there is one, please show me. Evil supports evil and Ob's Jesus is not our Jesus.

That said, it is a sad fact that in America, a land I love--a land I cherish, there are so many people who say they are Christian but they are not. Because we were known for our Christian heritage and Christian beliefs in daily life and government many if not most in the world still believe all Americans are Christian. This just is not true. America is moving further and further to the left everyday. There are remnants of true Christian faith across the landscape but we are in the minority which is why we cannot secure enough votes to elect a true Christian to office. But these are the last days and I do not believe we will ever have another true Christian in office before Jesus comes.
