Romney vs. Gingrich..........how do ya vote ?

Not sure how politics are allowed here but I was just wondering about some points of view.

Being that Romney is a life long Mormon do we as Christians still vote for him or does that redirect our decision ? Personally I think it strange that a Mormon would even want to be President when the America spoken of in the Book of Mormon has never even existed....history proves this.

For me, as a Christian, I didn't vote for Obama, and won't now, my personal vote would have to go to Newt.

Hope this topic dosn't get ugly.

I don't live in a swing state so whatever Republican nominee is chosen is who my state will vote for. I could oppose if I felt like being ridiculous, but I will have to vote for whoever the Rep is, because as a statement to the democratic party the numbers need to be HUGE to show how badly we wanted this presidency over and done with.

However, my heart kind of races knowing that Mit Romney might very well be our next president. It kind of changes the way I thought things would turn out and makes me look at some things I have learned a bit differently. But that is for another day and only if he wins the presidency, not just the nomination. We'll see.

Mighty interesting forum and thread. How many are aware that Mormonism officially promotes porn? As a matter of fact, porn is part of their "sacred" scriptures - the "Book of Abraham" part. Just Google "Romney's Mormonism Promotes Porn" which is a bombshell and it explains how it is buried, more or less, in one of the ancient Egyptian drawings. In fact, many Mormons don't seem to be aware of its existence in their scriptures. The same Google article links other articles which explain in detail how it came to be part of Mormonism, and they quote leading anti-Mormons like the Tanners (who eventually left the LDS church) who have been willing to air all this in their own evangelical books. In fact, one Mormon scholar who also dared to blow the whistle on all this was excommunicated! Lord bless you all. May the Lord's choice become the next President.

Romney. He's far more conservative than is Newt. Newt is going by Richard Nixon's advise: For the primaries go off to the shoulders and for the elections go to the middle. In other words, Newt is stirring up the base by scratching conservative's ears, he'll abandon it once he gets the nomination to a degree. He's proven he can't do much with the power given him, I wouldn't trust him, he's smart but a master manipulator in many ways. He says good things, but he's only trying to win over conservatives right now, so I don't trust him. Nor is he an evangelical any more, he converted to Catholicism after meeting the Pope, that's idolatry.
I don't agree with Romney's religion, but this isn't the first time we would have a no Christian president. I am convinced Obama is not a Christian nor a Muslim, but instead hell bent on the liberation theology of his former Church, hence basically everything he's done as President. It's a false gospel, not to mention probably presidents 2-5 weren't Christian, but did commend the wisdom of the Bible.

All other things considered and rejected, surely the fundamental point is this: only ONE of them can go up against Obama. So the only real question is surely "Who stands the better chance of defeating Obama?"

Frankly, neither is appealing. On one hand, we have Romney and his magical underwear, while on the other, we have Newt who has all the moral upstanding of pond algae.

If the GOP was hoping to put a Republican in the White House this next term, they not only dropped the ball, but then proceeded to run it over flat with a steamroller!

Where is Sarah Palin when we need her?

Romney is pro-choice; he is on record saying a pregnant teenage girl has the right to rebuke and ignore her parents to allow a secular judge to award her an abortion if she wants one. I can never, ever vote for this man.

Newt is as Robert describes, but, then again, the difference between Newt and the rest of us is only Christ Jesus.

So barring some Miracle, and Sarah Palin stays out of the race, I'm gonna have to vote for Newt to get the nomination.

I agree with Sean on this one. I truly believe we all need to take this in prayer to Jesus because this nation is in serious trouble let alone we have turned our face from the Creator God Almighty. If Romney is the meat target for Obama then I will not vote at all. Lets all take it to the Lord in prayer and have Him guide us. Maybe we as Bible believing Christians wont be here to vote???

Oh, and I almost forgot to add, we need someone who can defeat Obama, and the ones who are in the shadows pulling his strings. Unlike years in the past, when I've voted for who I would really want, regardless of whether they were in the running, this election I may be doing like others, and leave the booth groaning and holding my nose. The alternative is to give Obama a free pass to another term. The choice? A socialist liberal who mocks Christianity and it's values or a somewhat conservative capitalist liberal, who may also mock Christian values by their actions.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news....but I don't think Romney nor Gringrich can win over Obama. It is time for everyone to become prayer warriors and get the best candidate for God and our country in office. Miracles exist everyday in our lives, saving our country can be a miracle for which we can all pray!

Again, another straw man. Romney is pro-life, he didn't used to be but he is now. Being a republican governor of probably one of the top three liberal states in the US is like having your hands and feet tied behind your back anyway.
He favors more states rights on the matter, but nevertheless sees it as very bad. So yes, in a way he's pro-choice....but very pro-life. He's criticized roe v wade.
May I also comment on something else?
The supreme court should not have judicial review, it's legislating from the bench, they gave themselves the power to do so, not the constitution. So they should rule themselves unconstitutional. They need to be reduced to the top appellate court in the land.

If Romney gets the vote, I believe o will stay in office. I will not vote for him, he is a democrat. I will either stay home or go third party. If Newt, Ron or Rick get the vote, I will vote for any one of them.
