I think this whole debate just goes to show how bad things have gotten in this country (and the world too for that matter). We are going to end up having a choice between 2 bad candidates. We can't win either way. More and more this just shows how corrupt our country and world have gotten. The only way things could ever get better is for Jesus to come back for his bride, which I hope he will do ASAP!

Lesser of two evils certainly doesn't feel right but that is what we are left with. I honestly don't think it matters who we vote for. I wish it did. I wish there was a candidate that could rise up and truly represent, but I don't think the American public wants a Christian leader. We certainly do here on this forum (and many in my church) but here we are. The politicians know no shame. Outright lies. Too many to list here.
I believe the evil one has been plotting for centuries for what is coming. A set up of epic proportions. New World Order and all that.
Well, I will not fret (Psalm 37 - love it!). I will pray for my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. I will pray for the lost. But the US election? Please. The fix is in.
Oh and when the evil one loses (and lose big time he will), we will all celebrate with our Savior King Jesus.

Romney hasn't the experience that Gingrich has. They both (like ALL Washington insiders) have there share of skeletons in there closets. I feel more comfortable with Gingrich in the White House. Think about this.....he's been in the White House since Ronald Reagan , he's witnessed all the back alley deals and under the table pass-ons. He knows all the secret passwords, doorways ,and hand shacks. He's going in with no pre-conceived ideas of changing the world. Romney is a lot like Obama was , over his head. The minute they walk in the White House and down the Halls of Congress the realize why there predecessors and counterparts DID those shady deals and back alley contracts.

Here's the problem for me ,, I hear what everyone one is saying about voting to get rid of the current president ,and trying to get Amercia back to what we used to be , But I see it needs to start with me ,not with following the world system ,but by prayer, I will choose the man or woman that I see follows the Lord Jesus Christ ,After reading and seeing where they all stand ,I can only find one ,Hes ,,,called,,, crazy, nutty, off his rocker, Wasnt Jesus called all them things to by the world and even worse ,,We Christains are nutty to the world,,, I have read it is my civc duty to vote ,I know its my right ,I am going to vote for Ron Paul ,After reading his statement of truth about Israel, being an independant nation ,,I didnt vote for the current president either ,Hes there for God's reason as he controlls all things ,,,,

Yes, I too wish we had a great social and fiscal conservative that we could all rally around. Someone who could galvanize the conservatives to the point that we know in our hearts, he is the man, but sadly, we don’t. We have two candidates that are coming to the top in Newt and Mitt but neither one is without faults. I cannot stand where we are at with Obama so this election, I will vote against him.

I feel the same way..Non Partisan here, every person I seem to have voted for, I *really* regret it. I don't like politics. Man can't govern themselves like the Bible says. I am done with it all I think. God's will be done..and before too long we will all go home! Politics make me sick really.

I subscribe to the "New Thing" Theory of general political voting statistics. Basically, when a large group of people are faced with a series of either actual or perceived "bad news" as we certainly can say about the state of our country now, those people will vote for the "New Thing".

In other words, despite what these polls say, when in the voting booth, the average Joe who has seen his buying power suffer, his family, friends, town, etc. fall on bad times, will exercise blame on the current occupant of the political offices he is voting for, and vote for the new guy/gal. This bodes well for the Republicans no matter who ends up on the ticket, because the news has been bad, and you can be sure once the Republican nomination is over, they will spearhead a massive build up of bad news about Obama. I suspect they will do everything in their power to outspend Obama in this fashion - that they will not get burned again as they did in 2008.

The problem is... If the Republicans win, will they do any better than Obama? I suspect the difference between Obama and the Republicans with regard to our country is the difference between driving a Indy car over a cliff, or a go-kart over a cliff... either way, you going over the cliff.

I have made up my mind to live as best I can as a free person - my freedom in Christ cannot be taken away, and my actual physical freedom is a daily gift I will attempt to exercise completely outside of the government established "boundaries" when necessary. When they disregard natural law, it becomes my duty to ignore them - as resistance to tyranny is obedience to God. This is not a position that is lightly taken, but as more and more Americans take this position, it becomes easier to render this out of control government impotent.

That is my position, YMMV.

Not sure how politics are allowed here but I was just wondering about some points of view.

Being that Romney is a life long Mormon do we as Christians still vote for him or does that redirect our decision ? Personally I think it strange that a Mormon would even want to be President when the America spoken of in the Book of Mormon has never even existed....history proves this.

For me, as a Christian, I didn't vote for Obama, and won't now, my personal vote would have to go to Newt.

Hope this topic dosn't get ugly.
