    Must be an insurance play...
WESTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY HILLTOPPERS: 44 conference championships, third-most in NCAA history. 40 seasons with 20+ wins, sixth-most in NCAA history. 38 All-Americans, 35 national post-season appearances, 22 NCAA Tournament berths. 14th in NCAA history in all-time wins. 8th in NCAA history in all-time winning percentage (.670). 2002 NCAA Division 1AA National Football Champions

The only play being made here is one of pure insanity. Iraq is no where near being stable enough for US troops to depart prematurely. There are tens of thousands of US civilians still in Iraq doing contract work, etc. They will be defenseless. Moqtada al-Sadr and his Iranian proxy Mahdi Army can't wait for the last convoy to cross the Kuwaiti border. This is ideologically-driven insanity courtesy of the American Left and their current unqualified occupant in the Oval Office.

    From the article:

"There will be tremendous tourism opportunities some day," says Ed Fuller, president and managing director of international lodging for Marriott International. "But I think that's distant in the future."
I'm sure there will be, once Christ returns and brings all the nonsense in the world to a grinding halt.

That's right...insure for three times worth. Only a matter of time until someone burns it down or blows it to pieces. Return on investment turns over and comes pretty quick.

As far as the civilians doing contract work. We've pretty much abandoning them to wolves. We're so untrustworthy anymore, I don't why in the world anyone would work for us. But then again, our all loving and compassionate pResident doesn't give a rats anyway--only serving himself.

He should have waited until closer to the election, since this was such a calculated, as Sean said, ideological move. Can you imagine a year from now if the reporting is being done accurately we will likely read stories wondering whey we left too soon, and left the door open for the flea ridden islamists to fill the vacuum left by a ill times departure. A full year for this to go sideways is a silly miscalculation, but unfortunately all too predictable.

It is my understanding of Bible Prophecy that Satan will setup his headquarters during the first half of the Tribulation and the government of Iraq wants to rebuild at the archeological site of the ancient city of Babylon. With big corporations committing to this, it is just another clue to how close we are to the end times.

Isaiah 13:19: And Babylon, the beauty of kingdoms, the glory of the Chaldeans' pride, will be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

This is what makes me curious. Wondering where the rebuilding fits in with Bible prophecy.

Only thing I can think of is some insurance play. You'd have to be nuts to commit to an investment there. Bunkers, body armor, caskets, etc, now those are investments that could pay off--hotels?? No way.

Being in the hotel biz myself, they would be doing this for one reason and one reason only--the smell of money. Hotel chains seek to MAKE MONEY and will go where they see an opportunity. "Get there before the other guy does" is a common philosophy. To go into Iraq is crazy IMHO, but again, it's all about MONEY.
    Howdy ya'll!
