Default Pagan stone circle built at US Air Force training academy

So are they going to be flying brooms now at the New Hogwarts Academy? Isn't great what you'll pay for?

    ============================================
Pagan stone circle built at US Air Force training academy

The US military has built a stone circle in its Air Force academy to give pagans, druids and witches somewhere to practice their religion.

    11:40AM GMT 28 Nov 2011

The Colorado base has spent around £50,000 building the Stonehenge-like structure to allow witches to cast spells, and pagans to form "circles of power" by night.

it is situated on top of a wooded hill and includes a fire pit.

The academy says it is for cadets who practice 'Earth based' religions including druids, witches and North American faiths.

Despite the expenses it is believed only three out of the 4,300 cadets have openly admitted that they are pagan.

Bob Barr, a former Republican congressman, campaigned to ban witches from the military, saying: "What's next? Will armoured divisions be forced to travel with sacrificial animals for Satanic rituals? Will Rastafarians demand the inclusion of ritualistic marijuana cigarettes in their rations?"

The Wiccan religion was added to the US Army's chaplain's handbook in the 1970s and includes details on how covens are organised and how Druids worship 'Mother Earth and Father Sky.'

"Most Wiccan groups also practise magic, by which they mean the direction and use of 'psychic energy' — those natural but invisible forces which surround all living things," it explains.

The air force says the site is to help to protect the constitutional right to religious freedom.

But some think it is an attempt to attract more Wiccans to the army.

"Many men attracted to wicca are also attracted to this fantasy of the ancient warrior who is spiritually adept, but also a great fighter," Margot Adler, a renowned witch and broadcaster, said.

The American Religious Identification Survey estimated that there were 700,000 pagans and wiccans in the US

This makes me sick. Isn't there supposed to be a separation of church and state?? You can bet if the Air Force had built a statue of Jesus like the one in Montana, the ACLU would have been all over it like a duck on a June bug.

    What a bunch of hypocrites.

Nothing like inviting disaster upon yourself by erecting a temple to the evil one. Maybe some loose ordinance might accidentally fall off a plane and blow it up or something. It sure would be a shame if something like that were to happen.

And no, I am not advocating the facilitation of such accidents (real or imagined) Mr. NSA man. It's a joke.

Just remember, wherever you go-- there you are.
So stop running and just face the awful truth.
There is nothing good in you and you can't improve yourself.
Time to nail your old stinky carcass to the cross and let Jesus create the new you in Him!

You know what would be ironic? If they named it Mt. Carmel

I kid you not when I was at Fort Sam Houston there were Pagans/Wiccans asking to be allowed to practice their faith, or lets just call it what it is, Satanically driven attempts to further attack and undermine Christianity and the Unites States Christian origins. I also have to agree that if this were some special Christian site, then the ACLU would have been all over it like white on rice. This is also something that sticks in my craw about atheists. They say they don't believe in any fairy tales and or supernatural forces, BUT they only seem to come out of the wood work attacking Christianity. Coincidence? I think not! I'm actually not sure what Pagans and Wiccans believe when it comes to the origins of the Earth and the people and animals in it. I've had so many people I have been acquaintances with in the past try to recruit me for lack of a better word. "You have a very powerful light inside of you." was one comment that one made to me. Most of them talk over and over again about getting back at people, and casting spells on people who have wronged them. I have one friend who was a pagan; or whatever the favorite term of the month is, who had a "spirit guide" and asked said spirit guide to show its true self to him. After he got a good look he forsook the paganism and became a born again Christian. But never fear we have Hollywood to help us right? They would NEVER do anything to help foster the idea that this stuff is cool right? Not so much.

So sorry, Hilltopper, but I don't DO Harry Potter. Apparently my education is incomplete.

You're lucky. With all the little kids living around me, they keep me up the latest "in vogue" points these days. Even though 'Harry Potter' is somewhat passe' these days.

Amendment I to the Constitution of the United States of America:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
"Every servicemember is charged with defending freedom for all Americans, and that includes freedom to practice our religion of choice or, for that matter, not to practice any faith at all," said Chaplain (Lt. Col.) William Ziegler, Cadet Wing chaplain. "Being in the military isn't just a job -- it's a calling. We all take an oath to support and defend the Constitution, and that means we've all sworn to protect one another's religious liberties. We all put on our uniforms the same way; we're all Airmen first."

I swore an oath to support and defend the U.S. Constitution - period - not just the pieces or parts of it that I agree with. Christians at USAFA know where to go to witness to pagans and other "earth-based" airmen - they'll all be gathered in this one place at certain times of the year, one of which is just 19 days away. Our job is not finished on this earth - get busy while there is still time, that's the point of why we're still here.

Sad but true brother...sad but true. It appears we Christians (including myself) are dropping the ball. Waiting for non-believers to come, rather than going out after them. Fishing without a net. Evil is here, running the show, but we do have a more powerful weapon. Love! Love conquers all. It drives evil up the wall and out the door. The world needs to see Christ is all about love. Love Him, love others.
    God bless.
