Hmmm. Very interesting. I heard this on our news this morning. Sounds like some movement & day length change is not uncommon though.

Something to consider: Jesus said that no one could survive on earth during the tribulation, UNLESS the days are shortened. Plus, the Millennial world will be RESTORED to pre-flood conditions--like a new Garden of Eden. In order for that to happen, the earth must be moved back upon an upright axis, with no more tilt, which produces the seasons.

When I read this article, I thought of those things immediately.

There is also evidence that the huge Indonesian earthquake of 2004 caused a slight shift on the axis, and the shortening of a fraction of a second, too.

Wow! The signs are here! Those with Bible knowledge, plus the spiritual eyes to see, cannot miss the relevance of what is happening. Plus, more recent earthquakes than the one in Chile, are continuing to rock the Pacific ring of fire.

Very interesting! I had heard that the Chile quake and the 2004 Tsunami had shortened the days a bit, but didn't connect that with the end of Tribulation shortening of days. Good catch!

I have spent a little time charting the quakes from 1900 until the present as posted by Glory to God, but haven't been able to upload it yet. Plotting the dates of the quakes on a chart REALLY demonstrates just how much these quakes have increased since 2001. I'm not as smart as Excel spreadsheets, but will get it uploaded asap.

well it goes according to prophecy, the days have to be shortened for the elect's sake eventually when Trib time comes. i know we all know its coming bt it gives me the chills to think that all the signs are being manifested daily now just lke the birth pangs. its soooo close....wow.

Massive Chile Quake Shifted Cities West

The Earth really did move during last month's massive Chile quake, which killed hundreds of people and left two million homeless.

Researchers say cities and islands physically shifted west.
Thanks to satellites, scientists at Ohio State University and the University of Hawaii found that the city of Concepcion moved at least 10ft (three metres) to the west.
It is the nearest major city to last month's quake.
Chile's capital, Santiago, moved just shy of 1ft (30cm), and even Buenos Aires, in Argentina, moved an inch (25mm). The Falkland Islands also went a bit west.

Researcher Ben Brooks said this happens with every quake but is usually too small to notice.
This time, with a magnitude of 8.8, the scientists saw a great deal of movement.
One Nasa scientist says the quake probably shifted the Earth's axis and made days slightly shorter.
The Chile quake was one of the strongest ever measured and the giant waves that followed left almost 500 confirmed dead and at least 260 others missing.
Towns and the infrastructure were shattered. Key industries such as fishing were hit.
Chilean tycoon Sebastian Pinera faces a huge reconstruction challenge when he takes over the country's presidency on Thursday.
