Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi was a Libyan Intelligence Officer and the leader of a state-sponsored terrorist cell which placed a bomb onboard transatlantic Pan Am Flight 103 (Clipper Maid of the Seas) from London-Heathrow to JFK-New York.

Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi and the government of the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya (the Biblical land of Put) are directly responsible for the cold-blooded murder of two hundred forty three passengers from twenty one countries, sixteen crewmembers and eleven residents of Lockerbie, Scotland.

Four of the passengers were American intelligence officers enroute to the United States from Beirut, Lebanon, and a fifth was a Department of Justice Special Agent and Assistant Deputy Director.

After reading the Times article it struck me as bad comedy, so bad in fact that audiences would reject the premise were this entire sequence of events to be presented in a work of fiction. Some Scots are worried this COULD make Scotland a travesty? When you read it all in black and white, it is so ludicrous as to be laughable ... were it not so tragic. How foolish man can be!
