    Default Some of My Favorite Things

    After all of these years, Sound of Music is still one of my favorite movies. The hills are alive, with the sound of music. What a line sung by a class act. Julie Andrews is one of the best singers around - too bad the surgeon ruined her voice.

    Even though its the catholic church, one of the few movies that don't make Christians seem like hypocrites or worse. A refreshing movie - one that my children love as well.

    Who else loves this movie??

    We watched it with the kids for the first time about a week ago. They really liked it, too.

    Excellent to hear. This is an great movie for the whole family. Men were men and women were women!!

    My son has almost every line memorized. Not because he tried to, but because me and his mother stick the DVD in the player all the time. Sadly, he likes it as much as us. I know this sounds pathetic, but we watch it 2 or 3 times a year.

    It is neat to see how the movie becomes more serious as the movie goes on as people realize just how real the threat of Nazism was becoming. How absolutely analogous to all of today's events pointing towards the ever nearing Rapture and the rise of the AntiChrist?

    My sister loves the movie too. I know I've never seen it before, but one day I'll have to sit down and see it.

    You won't regret it. I don't know anyone who didn't fall in love with this movie.

    Yesterday my 6 year old daughter once again asked to watch "the Maria movie". We're holding out (for now), but it won't be long.

    My Mom loved that movie so much she actually went to the theater to see it. I think that was only one of 2 she went to see in my lifetime. I haven't seen it since, but probably later this summer, Robert and I will make a night out of it if we can find it on DVD. Another family fave was Camelot. We used to just love the soundtrack.

    A personal favorite for me is Much Ado About Nothing with Denzel Washington.
    Psalm 73:28

    28 But as for me, it is good to be near God.
    I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge;
    I will tell of all your deeds.
