KR McKay's Prayer Blog

Rather than "clog up" the "Prayer Requests & Praise Reports" section of the Rapture Forums with all kinds of personal prayer requests, I thought to post them all here, and, if you wish to "pray along" with me, then please do feel free to join in!

Thanks, and God Bless!

I should note that I ask ALL prayers with the knowledge that

  • God is sovereign, and He is in control of all things
  • God has all knowledge. I have very, very little knowledge by comparison
  • The things that I ask are asked in the belief that my requests are in keeping with the Holy will of God Almighty, and that the fulfillment of my requests would be pleasing to Him.
  • Because I do not have all knowledge, there are reasons that God will choose to answer some of my prayer requests, "no." I won't understand why, every time, but have faith that He makes no mistakes, and that His responses are ALWAYS the best possible responses.
With all of these things in mind, presume that all prayer requests are therefore asked with the caveat that, above all things, God's will will be done.

  1. Prayer Request for a Co-worker's son and daughter-in-law

by , March-26th-2012 at 12:01 AM (KR McKay's Prayer Blog)

I work with a dear, Christian lady who is my parent's age. (In fact, she is two weeks older than one of my parents and two weeks younger than the other).

Tonight, she asked me to pray for her son and daughter-in-law. She said that her daughter-in-law had left her son nine months ago because he had a very serious drinking problem. The daughter-in-law had called her several times, asking her to pray for the son/husband, and my co-worker said that she had finally told God,

  2. Prayer request for my brother

by , February-18th-2012 at 01:09 AM (KR McKay's Prayer Blog)
Well, my friends, if it isn't one thing, it IS another!

I need to ask you to pray for my middle brother's teeth! He has suffered tremendously with his teeth, and he blames -- in large part, anyway -- the Army dentists who treated him during his service from '91-'93. (Since being out of the Army, he said that dentists have looked in his mouth and asked, "What in the world is THAT? I've never seen anything like THAT before!" He reported that one dentist actually ...

  3. FINAL (We trust and pray) UPDATE FOR "Prayer request for my mom"

by , February-15th-2012 at 03:56 PM (KR McKay's Prayer Blog)

My dad just sent this FINAL (we are trusting and praying) update concerning my mom's foot surgery:

Mom got her stitches out today; 12 per toe. (Actually one stitch with 12 loops per) The pins and screws stay in and go with her into eternity. She can now bathe the foot freely but must wear the boot for two more weeks; she goes back for a final check then. She still has to sleep in the boot so she can go to the bath room at night and not injure the foot; it's

  4. Prayer request for a friend and his wife...Part II

by , February-14th-2012 at 03:25 AM (KR McKay's Prayer Blog)

I, two weeks ago, requested prayer for a friend and his wife, who are separated.

I got this sad update, recently:

Thanks...We have had some conversation during the separation, but recently the tension heightened and we've stopped talking. Just hard when two people have their heels dug in thinking they're right. I "know" I am not perfect and have contributed to where we are now, but my wife feels like she is not culpable and that counseling would

  5. Prayer request for the friend of a friend

by , February-14th-2012 at 02:25 AM (KR McKay's Prayer Blog)

An older gentleman that I know forwarded this prayer request (below) for a man he once worked with.

    His friend's name is Larry.

This request is originally from Larry's wife:

    Hi Everyone,
Larry was admitted to the hospital on January 30th. After many, many tests, surgery to remove his gall bladder was on February 6th. The surgery was to be 45 min. It turned out to be 2hr. and 15 min. Larry has a lot of health problems. He was in ICU
