    Default Our Glorified Bodies?

What will our glorified bodies look like when we get Home I wonder?

I'm excited to see my Dad. When he passed away he was so weak and worn down. I remember when I was a boy that he was strong as an ox. I can't wait to see what he looks like now!

Well, Jesus in His resurrected body looked exactly like Himself in the flesh—even to the impression made by the wounds in his body. The change was one of nature not of form: now He was glorified, immune from all afflictions of this earth, and apparently not restricted by physical limitations of time and space.

I don't know. Not to be nit-picky but Mary didn't recognize Jesus at first when she saw Him resurrected for the first time (John 20:15). I think that there will be some physical changes in our bodies since the effects of sin will be done away with. I think that the wounds in Jesus' hands were an "exception to the rule". Whether those wounds remain with Him in eternity is something that we're not told.

I doubt my Dad will be hunched. I doubt he will be missing teeth due to diabetes and bad blood flow. I doubt his legs and ankles will be swollen from heart failure.

I bet he will stand straight up. His thick beard will be dark black again. His eyes will be bright and clear. There isn't much glory in his old body. I can't wait to see him!

Yes, we will look like ourselves but in perfection ... not with any of the flaws, the decay, the corruption of this world. They will be gone forever, along with anything and everything that is not PERFECT AND INCORRUPTIBLE!

I wonder what age we'll be. Will we be the age we were when we died or when we're raptured? I don't want to be old looking in heaven...

Some (a lot) of people believe that everyone will look like we are in our early 30s---no matter what age we were at our death or the rapture.

That is because Jesus was in His early 30's at death. Who knows?! Either way, we will be in ultimate GQ fashion at the supper table!

The human body is in it's prime from 27-33ish. I don't think it's a coincidence that people think that's about the age we'll be.

    By the way.....just a serious thought...( I know I know,you don't believe I could even be serious... I forgive you )

Adam was created directly by The Lord.....and Eve also, taken by Adam's side.....
the first couple were perfect before the fall........just think what kind of amazing brain The Lord gave to Adam...Adam named ALL the animals...that is quite a feat! ......and also, notwithstanding the Fall ,Adam lived almost a thousands years, just think of that....and Adam and Eve were extremely prolific.....but then we see the decline of humanity...even in the life span after Noah......David died at 70....

Now we know that we are a NEW CREATION in Christ Jesus.......the Sin problem and its consequences has been taken care of by Jesus...we
just waiting to be caught up and THE NEW MODEL of THE NEW YOU I believe is going to be AMAZING!

See the difference between a Fiat 500 and a FERRARI....

The secular world likes to portray Adam as a testosterone driven cave man. Just google him and see what kind of pictures show up. I would like to see the dwelling he made for Eve after the fall. I bet Better Homes and Gardens would be put to shame.

But, but, I've been wearing glasses since the 5th grade! Who will recognize me without?

Seriously though it is fun to wonder about it. I'm quite sure that however we look there will be no complaints.

I have this image in my mind of looking back down to Earth at the Rapture, and seeing all of my replacement pieces, and other parts laying in a heap on the ground: my limb and breast prosthesis, glasses, dentures, knee replacement, cardiac stents, abdominal mesh and clips. And having no scars from 31 surgeries! Whew!! I can't wait to see what we all will look like! My soul just leaps for joy when I think about it!! Thank You Heavenly Father for calling me to You, and naming me Your child! Hallelujah!

We may be able to get an idea from the transfiguration of Jesus, His face was changed, altered or different according to some different translations Luke 9:29 and Matthew 17:2. His face shone as did Moses's after he came down from the mountain. Exodus 34:35 So let's shine our light while we're here and then for eternity.

I've read Randy Alcorn's Book titled Heaven, and I have no problem recommending it if one wants to pursue the topic.

This past week I had to drive a total of 16 hours and I usually listen to conservative programs. I found a Christian book store on the return leg of the trip. I found an abridged by treatment of a dozen of C.H Spurgeon's wonderful sermons in CD format. What a difference! The time just flew by.

It is not just anyone that bring Spurgeon's work into plain English without doing violence to his original works. Alcorn gets an A+++

Consider the words of Omar M. Ahmad, founder of CAIR: "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant." ... "The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America , and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."
