As an avid piano player, I'd love to play something to honor my God when I'm in heaven. I know there's trumpets and harps mentioned in Revelations, but will there be other music instruments as well?
Thank you ahead of time.
Here's a chapter from Psalms to consider-Psalm 150
A Psalm of Praise.
1 Praise the LORD!
Praise God in His sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty expanse.
2 Praise Him for His mighty deeds;
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness.
3 Praise Him with trumpet sound;
Praise Him with harp and lyre.
4 Praise Him with timbrel and dancing;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe.
5 Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with resounding cymbals.
6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD!
I would love to play piano in heaven as well. We'll see.
Amazing love! How can it be that Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?
I believe Psalm 150 answers the OP perfectly. As to pianos, I would suspect that would be included under "stringed instruments". (Unfortunately that category would also include banjos.)

The piano is one of the most beautiful and expressive of instruments. Our God enjoys creativity and complexity, so I believe that we'll have more than a few instruments to give Him praise with.
P.S. I purchased a piano for my wife last year. Neither one of us play, but she always wanted one and wanted to learn. We plan on taking lessons together. Our piano has Pianodisc so we're able to enjoy it anyway. If pianos are in Heaven, and I see no reason why they can't be, I'll love learning how to play it. We'll have eternity to praise our God and be creative for His glory.
Come to think of it, if stringed instruments include banjos, pipe instruments would include the bagpipes.
So let me emend my original answer. There will be neither banjos nor bagpipes in heaven. The reason is simple— only hell hath torment.

I have often thought about this. I have thought about the majestic orchestra and band in heaven, with every person playing, each different person's sound blending together to make one perfect sound. I have thought the same thing about all the voices singing together in a beautiful perfect chorus.
Ephesians 5:18 (New King James Version)
18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,
I Come To The Garden Alone Hymn
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
OK, OK, I will stop hating banjos and bagpipes. And to practice for the latter, I will take Samson, tuck him under my arm and squeeze hard while blowing on his tail.

Yup! I used to live in L.A (lower Alabama), North Florida actually, seen a few of these around.
As to the o.p., there could be instruments played that have never been seen outside of Heaven, SteveJm posted a great scripture though.
Now i'm more of an electric guitar kinda guy, been known to butcher a few chords and bad '80's rock riffs, but I would love to learn how to play the piano. I'm in awe of you folks who can play piano, I can barely hold a fork in one hand and a knife in the other.
I think upon first arrival, I'm gonna be in the Psalm 98:4 section since a joyful noise is about all I can do. Emphasis on noise, but it is joyful!
