Hey, this may seem like a stupid question but, why does only Luke/Acts mention the ascension while the others don't?
found the answer:
for those who want to take a look here's the site: The Ascension (Luke 24:31; Acts 1:1-11) | Bible.org - Worlds Largest Bible Study Site
For the record, the ascension is also directly referred to approximately a half dozen times in the Gospel of John and in Ephesians. And throughout the New Testament there are a number of indirect references to the ascension, in that Christ is now pictured bodily in Heaven.
