I was wondering the same thing. To me putting a number on it says you think it is time studying what is supposed to be said/done as a Christian, and not God that is doing the work here. I believe a person can be baptized in the Holy Spirit and be instantly changed, all the cravings and desires from their old life disintergrated. Their hunger to know even more about this wonderful new presence in their life causing them to stay up all night and spend every waking hour devouring God's word. Perhaps there is a maturity you are talking about here? However, I personally believe that when God speaks through a person all things are possible, even a new believer being able to feel the Spirit and speak the words that the Spirit puts upon him/her to say.

You're reading quite a bit into scripture here; for one thing, the Lord did not put an absolute rigid time on people to grow in Him. No two people grow at the same rate spiritually, and the Lord knows this. For another; you're mixing and matching a hodgepodge of scripture from all over the Bible. Finally, not only are you using a mixture of scripture from all over the place, but a mixture of versions which also adds to the confusion. Scripture tells us that we should indeed make progress in our studies, but Paul's progress is not going to be someone else's progress. God cares that we do grow, but not before we are capable to do so.

There is a major difference between unable and unwilling.

I learned all of this from the revelations of Jesus Christ. The time lines are minnumum time lines. I went through the three years of the milk understanding and the eleven years of the meat understanding. Then I came to the revelations of Jesus Christ, I have received over 1500 of these revelations in the past twenty years. Some people abide in the milk their whole lives. Some people are disqualified, some fall short of salvation, some fall from grace. But they dont know it.

The meat is when you have learned that the Holy Spirit is in you and He starts quoting verses in your mind. Now you only have one of two responses to the verse, either obey the verse, or repent for not obeying the verse. And the Holy Spirit is going to lead you inside yourself(kingdom of God) to suffer against all your feelings and emotions(unclean spirits) resist the devil and God will cast them spirits out.Because the flesh lusts against the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit is against the flesh(feelings and emotions)(unclean spirits). And when you get the flesh crucified then you have died. And then you will be born again and receive the new wine(revelations of Jesus Christ). And the meat should be around 11 years long. The milk brought you to love, and the meat starts out with love.

I agree with Mattfivefour, your OP is full of errors. For one thing, setting a fixed timeline for sanctification is incorrect, God works with us as individuals. Second, no one, no matter how much they grow, is completely free from errors and all wise. That would make humans equal with God which we are not, never have been, never will be. No matter how much we think we have learned, there is always more to learn. This is why we must remain humble, and alert to the guidance of the Holy Spirit in every situation.

BTW, Matt knows a LOT more than you are so casually giving him credit for...

xxx The bible is already out of context. What the bible says is that everything Jesus spoke He spoke in parables. And everything Paul spoke he spoke the milk understanding. Peter is the one who told us:

Nothing the Holy Spirit says or does will ever contradict the plain Word of Scripture. We ALL know Who the Holy Spirit is, Squeaky, and what it is He does. But that has nothing to do with your erroneous statements about scripture. Nothing the Holy Spirit says or does will ever contradict the plain Word of Scripture. And the plain Word of Scripture is not found by pulling a bit here and a bit there and placing novel interpretations upon them. Once Was Lost (who is a respected pastor) has posted truth.

So true! divine revelations and things only seen by some while hidden from others make those visions/revelations subjective and indisputable. Exactly why the uber charismatics can spout the craziest of things and nobody can dispute since they are "Words from God".

Look I apologize. I didnt realize everyone in here was in the milk understanding. You all are not ready for the revelations of Jesus Christ. I didnt come to you with human wisdom but in demonstration of the Spirit. To see where your faith is at. Your faith is in the wisdom of man not in the power of God.

1 Cor 2:1-5
1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God.
2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
3 I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling.
4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

I am afraid it is YOU who do not understand the Word of God. Without intending to sound condescending (because I in no way mean it in that manner) we will pray for you that God would remove Satan's blinders from you, loose you from his power, and that the Holy Spirit open the eyes of your understanding. There is a reason you are not welcome on any of the Christian sites you have visited. You should allow that fact to tell you something. God is trying to get through to you. I pray that in humility you can accept His message.
