Pre-Trib Teachers

I am compiling a list of all the great pre-trib teachers who taught the doctrine before 1830. Any help in compiling this list with be greatly appreciated. A name, a time-frame of the teacher's life, and a brief statement concerning the teacher would be of great help to me. Thanks.

Well, scripture does the primary job of teaching the Pre-Trib harpazo. If it did not, then we would not believe it. But from OT type to NT revelation the Pre-Trib rapture is made abundantly clear.

However, I note you reference 1830. No doubt you have in mind the widely debunked theory that a young Scots lass by the name of Margaret MacDonald first propounded the idea of a Pre-Trib rapture in that approximate year. We have a number of good articles on this topic on our main site. A few are: The Origin of the Pre-Tribulational Rapture, Margaret MacDonald is not the mother of the pre-tribulation rapture, Yet, Another Pre-Darby Rapture Statement, 16 Proofs of a Pre-Tribulation Rapture, Defending the Pre-Trib Rapture, and Defending The Pre-Trib Rapture (Again). Also, Dr. James F. Stitzinger, an associate professor of Historical Theology at The Masters Seminary has written a good article called THE RAPTURE IN TWENTY CENTURIES OF BIBLICAL INTERPRETATION. Thank you, Chris, for the excellent link to Grant Jeffries' article by Thomas Ice on pseudo-Ephraim. I never heard of pseudo-Ephraim before now and this has piqued me to study further as we are admonished in the bible to "study to show ourselves approved." Thank you so much.
