About LinkBacksThe Bible says that Abraham was a friend of God. He walked and talked with God. My question is how did Abraham become God's friend and how can we become God's friends today as well?

How do you become a friend of anyone? By getting to know them. Abraham first believed God IS, and then that He was indeed the one true God. Then he walked and talked with Him, getting to know Him more and more. We can do the same thing. But the entrance to that relationship is ONLY through faith in God and faith in Christ and His complete and total once-for-all atonement for our sin. Once someone exercises that faith and is born again and so seeks to walk in obedience to God that person can be considered a friend of God. (John 15:14)
