Israel and end times prophecy

I think I may have a serious misunderstanding on this issue and hopefully people here can help me clear it up.

I see a lot of Pro Israel comments, signatures, etc. I know that part of prophecy has to do with israel being an established nation again.

How it was always explained to me in the past was that not a secular ran Israel but a Jewish religion led Israel is what would have to be in place.

If you look at the current Israeli government it is actually led by quite a few secular Jews, not so much religious Jews.

Was I taught incorrectly? Does the bible not tell between the two(secular and Jewish nations) when speaking of the topic?

While I am not anti Israel, I can't same I am pro Israel either which is why I am trying to understand this better.

Thank you... it makes much much much more sense now... It had been explained to me all wrong for years...

No wonder I always had a hard time understanding christianity... it had always been taught to me wrong it seems... Always told never question the Pastor,.. he went to school for years... not you.. Now I am beginning to questions things I have always been told in the past... finding out so much of it isn't bibical.

ahh sigh, so much brain washing to undo.

I'm glad those articles could help you. There is so much apostasy and replacement theology in the church these days it is absolutely incredible. The Bible says that Israel will be regathered in unbelief a second time (which happened in 1948), never to be uprooted or dispersed again. In other words, the Jews are in the land for good. As for the spiritual awakening, we believe that this is done during the Ezekiel 38-39 war when God says he will not hide his face from Israel anymore. He says that everyone will know that he saved Israel from what would be certain destruction. This is what will cause them to want a Third Temple and resume Old Testament style worship. This means that they will still be in an OT style frame of mind, they will not see Jesus as the Messiah until the end of the Tribulation period, when they shall see the One they pierced and mourn for him like an only child. But in the end, God will save a remnant of Israel for himself.

We need to pray for both Jews and non-Jews, the truth of the matter is we are all brothers and sisters, no matter what our skin color, where we live, etc. We all trace our ancestors back to Noah and eventually back to Adam and Eve. I think this is one of the reasons the Lord says we should not murder. that is essentially the creation killing the creation. but we know that that happens sometimes as a person falls to the sin of murder.

We need to pray that everyone comes to the loving ans saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.

And the other reason we should not murder, Chris, is that when you murder somebody you presume God's power to take life. God alone knows when it is right to remove somebody from this earth. His knowledge is perfect. When you murder somebody you remove forever their chance of being saved (if they are unsaved) and condemn them to an eternity in hell. If they are saved, you remove them from being able to be used by God to reach or help others. For those reasons murder is a terrible, terrible crime.
