what did they do to jesus before and after he was crucified.i know some bits but i didnt know they pulled his beard out.totally disgusted,how could they,makes me sick thinking about what jesus must have went throught.no human should ever go through so much suffering.

He was horribly disfigured by their torture, sis. But He did it all in obedience to the Father for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him would not perish but have everlasting life. We always like to quote John 3:16. but sometimes we don't really stop to think about exactly what it means. You have realized what that meant. And it IS terrible. But He gladly did it for us. And thus we are left to marvel at His love. No wonder Paul said, "I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God." (Ephesians 3:17b-19) Understanding what He suffered for us is important for it gives us a real appreciation of His love for us. Nevertheless we are not to focus on the suffering but on what He bought by it. The Cross is our victory—both in salvation and sanctification ... and through it we have obtained the promise of eternal life with God! And thus in thankfulness we should desire to serve Him with as much love as He manifested for us.
