It's all about Jesus

Ever move forwards when praying for a friend or loved one even though it seems hopeless? Ever struggle forwards with nothing to grasp? Ever wonder where the power comes from to even keep trying when you see absolutely nothing on the horizon?

I've found that I cling onto Christ and his promises in my life when I see nothing. That strength is the mighty power of God because Jesus has the words of eternal life, where will we go?

In the end,, it's not really about all those prayers answered or people being saved or healed although they are very important. It's really all about JESUS and getting to know HIM. Why are we following Jesus today? is it because we want something or is it because we are motivated by His love to get to know Christ? Just like Paul said in Phl 3:10-11 "I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.

WHY? Why would anyone want to SUFFER? Well, because when we do we LEARN just a glimpse of what Jesus went through for us so that we could know God's love and be in a relationship with him. We learn the Joy of the Lord is our strength and find out that it's not suffering in and of itself but getting to know HIM and how much He truly loves us....

Just some thoughts before I head onto work..

God created us for HIS glory and I believe the struggle we have all our lives is learning to REST in JESUS
