Default Literal Sacrfices In The Millinum and The Book Of Hebrews

How are the literal Sacrifices of The Millennial temple defended in light of The Book of Hebrews. I am trying to defend the use of literal sacrifices in The Millennium and I keep being told that believing in literal Sacrifices is a violation of The Book of Hebrews and blasphemous to the completed work of Christ on the cross. I have read Thomas Ice's article on literal sacrifices and J. Dwight Pentecost's work on the subject in Things To Come. any help particularly with the passages in Hebrews would be appreciated thanks in advance -Aaron:)

Full knowledge of the Lord will cover the earth during the Millennium (Isa. 2:2-3). Apparently sacrifices will again be offered in a temple which will be built and in operation during the Millennium (Ezek. 40-48). Premillennialists understand these sacrifices as a means of memorializing the death of Christ. Religious holidays will also be observed during the Millennium (46:1-15; Zech. 14:16). (For a detailed discussion of these matters see J. Dwight Pentecost, Things to Come, [Grand Rapids: Zondervan, 1958], pp. 512-31.)

    Hope this helps.

Parsifal, you might find useful material in this article on the Millennial Temple and its sacrifices in Dr. John Whitcomb's exposition at http://www.middletownbiblechurch.org/proph/templemi.htm. Fyi (or for the information of your pastor), Whitcomb is president of Whitcomb Ministries, Inc., and founder and professor of Christian Workman Schools of Theology. He has taught the Old Testament and theology for more than 50 years, and is widely recognized as a leading Biblical scholar.

We as christians and people in general have a wholesome obligation to present sacrifices to the Lord our God, for He is good and Holy. OT sacrifices included a sin offering, as repentance for their sins. After the 2nd coming we will be sacrificing out of love and joy.
