    Meg

    I never got upset with you. Thanks for the apology.

    We all get busy and a bit stressed out. I know I too get like that and I have done the same as you have - misunderstood someone's post. Easily done.

    Really appreciate you coming back and giving it another read through.

    Mattfivefour,

    Spot on Adrian. Thanks. I think you summarised it well.

    Bump. Again, I hope this helps some of you...
    Psalm 73:28

    28 But as for me, it is good to be near God.
    I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge;
    I will tell of all your deeds.

    Another thing to realize about Satan is that he has had millenia of experience in manipulating people. He's an old pro at using smooth words, seemingly-sound "reason" and rigged questions that are all aimed at getting someone to do what he wants. Add to that the fact that he has a keen intellect, along with a head knowledge of scripture (he quoted it to Jesus when he tempted him!).

    All of this allows Satan to twist the truth in an attempt to manipulate whomever he sets his sights on. This is why we need to be in prayer, to put on daily the full armor of God, and to be standing on the Rock.

    Satan is our nemesis before we are saved. Without the power of the precious blood of Jesus in our lives he is indeed more powerful than we are. After we are saved from what I gather from the bible our battles are fought with spiritual weaponry. If we were to fight in our flesh the devil,, we'd loose every time because he is a very powerful being God created

    That's why I believe Michael the Archangel said-"The Lord rebuke you" because he knew it was not in his own strength

    I believe we need to have balance and respect as Christians, not to fear Satan but to always fear God-greater is he who is in me than he who is in the world--yet we should always have respect and not be gullible neither because Satan can outwit God's children -2Cr 2:11 in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.

    the whole world is under the power of the devil-1 John 5:19---He's very powerful left to our own without Jesus even Christians not trusting in Jesus.

    Jesus prays for us not to take us out of this world but to protect us from the evil one-John 17:15. I'm of the belief that if it were not for Jesus praying for us all we'd be in some serious trouble---

    So please don't underestimate the power of the devil but thank GOD for JESUS IN YOU and praying for you every single day
