How many of us grew up, as I did, singing those old hymns at church. There is no comparison to them at all.

Thank you for posting this, sis. It is one of my favorite hymns. I often sing it as I drive in to work in the morning. The passage in Lamentations on which it is based is one of my favorites as well. For Jeremiah to be able to write what he did in the midst of the "wormwood and gall" which characterized his life at that time is a true mark of God's presence upon him! As it is for us in our hard times.

oh wow, I was singing this song just yesterday when I realized this TRUTH that God is Indeed in complete control and how wonderful it is to KNOW He is our heavenly Father and HE really IS taking care of Me--(us). I was very aware of this situation He could only know ahead of time that just filled me with awwe that HE really does know what's best. This joy of the Lord just flooded my heart and I rememberd that very song... I enjoyed the fellowship of Righteousness, Joy and Peace in the Holy Spirit.

How wonderful to really trust in the Lord and it becomes a living reality in your life and not just some truth you know in your head...Praise the Lord
