    doh! Michigan Minister Opens Tattoo Parlor in His Church

    !!!

    A Michigan pastor who says he's doing everything he can to reach out to people who don't feel comfortable at a traditional house of worship has opened a tattoo parlor inside his church.
    Rev. Steve Bentley of The Bridge, a church located inside a Flint Township shopping center, said his ministry is built on the belief that mainstream religion has become ineffective and irrelevant to most people. To that end, he opened Serenity Tattoo.
    Psalm 73:28

    28 But as for me, it is good to be near God.
    I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge;
    I will tell of all your deeds.

    The minister is right. Mainstream religion HAS become ineffective and irrelevant to most people. He should try Jesus. The preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ has never been ineffective nor has it ever been irrelevant to those whose hearts have been prepared by the Holy Spirit. God's Word will never return to Him void! But those who attempt to proclaim that gospel without having it burning like a fire within as a result of a deep personal relationship with Jesus Christ, those who have a head knowledge of Christ and not a heart knowledge, being attracted by the ethic of His teaching rather than being converted themselves, will NEVER have the power in their message to reach people and see souls brought to Christ. So they have to resort to various man-conceived initiatives to try and compensate. The failure is not in the message, the failure is in the man. Too many people are in the ministry because they are attracted by the intellectual appeal of some of Christ's teachings. These people are, in fact, religious humanists.

    Wow Adrian, thank you!

    That explains a lot.

    I will tell of all your deeds.
