The Pimp Preachers Are Fighting Over
New Destiny Christian Center
PimpPreacher.com Orlando Bureau 12/20/2011
When you look at your Pastor do you really see a servant? Somehow we, in the Body of Christ have confused Preaching with that of being a true Servant of Christ, but I present the case that the two are completely different.
Preaching the gospel requires nowhere near the effort of trying to make sure every member in the congregation has food, lights, tuition payments, child support, shelter, medication, visitation, health coverage, education, and mental health.
When you really chop it down to its least common denominator, preaching is somewhere in the middle of the list of priorities of a true pastor, despite what you have been presented.
Christ gave more tangible things than intangible, if you don’t believe me then search the scriptures and count them up for yourself. I am personally sorry that Christ had to perform so many signs and wonders in order to get us to sign up for the cause, but in the end he had to do, what he had to do. In doing something about the life conditions of his members, Christ taught us how to serve a congregation.
So have we arrived at this glamorized position called Senior Pastor?
Diva Pastor
A blog on the Orlando Sentinel is predicting that Paul White could replace Zachery Tims as head of New Destiny Christian Center. It’s now becoming very clear that several Big Name Preachers were all joisting for the opportunity to scoop up N.D.C.C. and add it to their existing church franchises, but in true church fashion, the pulpit will go to the highest ranking member of the Preacher Clique.
The word “Clique” was derived from a group of English artists formed by Richard Dadd in the late 1830s. They have been described as “the first group of British artists to combine for greater strength and to announce that the great backward-looking tradition of the Academy was not relevant to the requirements of contemporary art.
Even today the “Preacher Clique” is set up to decide upon the members that will serve as presiding pastor over a church, region, or denomination. Being in a Preacher Clique comes with certain benefits like automatically getting selected for additional areas of opportunity without having to first prove yourself as spiritually qualified according to the standards of Christ.
I.V. Hilliard has just released a video blasting the selection process at Destiny Christian Center as lacking integrity, and giving the impression that those involved in selecting the next pastor are not worthy of the responsibility.
It seems very suspect that I.V. (Investment Venture) Hilliard would drop out of the process now when there hasn’t even been a formal announcement or at least a press release statement proclaiming who would be the next pastor. The only way to truly understand I.V. Hilliard is to acknowledge that you’re dealing with the pinnacle of a narcissistic personality disorder, but what would make him just quit on the congregation at N.D.C.C just like that?
What Hilliard has done in dropping out of the so-called 4 panel Bishop Board is the equivalent of a 8 year old boy taking his ball and heading home all because he didn’t get picked to play on either team.
Being that the Board of Bishops has not selected Hilliard as the next Pastor it’s now apparent that he no longer feels a Christian obligation to help this congregation through this difficult period. It proves what we have said for 396 consecutive days that “if you take the money out of preaching, you will then take the preachers out of the church.” The only reason I.V. Hilliard has resigned from the Board is because he had a preconceived notion that by simply showing up at the Church the higher ups would crown him Pastor, but they had another opportunist in mind.
I honestly feel that Destiny Christian Center only choice in this matter was to select the least of the Pimps, they never really had a choice of a true pastor. Every person presented to them had already made millions from the industry of Jesus, therefore all they can really expect now is more of the same hustling style of preaching.
Well I Never
I.V. Hilliard is so full of himself that I pray that Christ would shoot a humbling arrow from heaven and pierce him right in his Big Head. To Hilliard I say the following:
I know no one has told you this in the past 40 years, but you are just a man. Not Christ, Not a Prophet, Not a Bishop, not even a true follower of Christ, but just a man.
The arrogance that you have displayed in this video is proof that you are only concerned about your own personal gain. Accumulating a large amount of wealth would be ok in my world of free enterprise, but you on the other hand, used the name of Jesus to stock pile your wealth.
Hilliard you’re absolutely right when you say that four panel Bishop Board lacked integrity, after all, how can a board be made up of an even number? This is the reason you thought you had position of Pastor of N.D.C.C. from the beginning, but you lack the packaging of "Ms. Pimp Preacher" Paula White. I pray that one day you will realize that it’s not about you, but the work of Jesus Christ.
Instead of taking your ball and going home, how about you take this opportunity to humble yourself and act like a follower of Christ. If you were truly concerned about Destiny Christian Center the way you claimed in the beginning, then you would have stayed on board to ensure that congregation was in good hands, but the fact that you quit on them shows you had selfish intentions from the start.
Go Dip in the muddy Jordan River seven Times until you come up clean of pride, arrogance, and greed. In the name of Jesus
2 Kings 5:10-19
10. And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.
11. But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.
12. Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.
13. And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?
14. Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
15. And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant.
16. But he said, As the LORD liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take it; but he refused.
17. And Naaman said, Shall there not then, I pray thee, be given to thy servant two mules' burden of earth? for thy servant will henceforth offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice unto other gods, but unto the LORD.
18. In this thing the LORD pardon thy servant, that when my master goeth into the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he leaneth on my hand, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon: when I bow down myself in the house of Rimmon, the LORD pardon thy servant in this thing.
19. And he said unto him, Go in peace. So he departed from him a little way.
