Bible's Mixed Messages on Sexuality???
My Take: The Bible
UNREAL!!!!! I am utterly speechless at this one!![]()
For it is by grace you have been saved through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephe. 2:8-9)
Jennifer Wright Knust... another universal brotherhood seeker
Jennifer needs to needs to study scripture diligently.
She said:At first I laughed out loud, then quickly grieved for those that are deceived due to their vanity and the the horror of making themselves to be god-like. A quick review of the finality described in Rev 20:11-15 must make us weep for the lost.We often hears that Christians have no choice but to regard homosexuality as a sin - that Scripture simply demands it.
Consider the words of Omar M. Ahmad, founder of CAIR: "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant." ... "The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America , and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."
Sis, I read this one in its' entirety, and all it is is a thinly-veiled attack on scripture. Frankly, I wouldn't use her article for lining the bottom of a bird cage for fear of giving the bird a dread disease!!!
In my experience, people who do not have the Holy Spirit in them see scripture as contradictory and confusing; in truth, God gives clear guidelines on sexuality to protect mankind from the turmoil, heartbreak and sorrowful circumstances we are now facing at large in the "west".
Of course they do, bro. As God's Word itself says, "Natural man (that is to say, anyone who has not been born again) does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned." (1 Corinthians 2:14) Expecting an unsaved person to understand God's word is like asking a pig to sing. It cannot be done.In my experience, people who do not have the Holy Spirit in them see scripture as contradictory and confusing;
-------"You are not your own; you are bought with a price." —1 Corinthians 6:19b-20a

Sy Rogers is a former homosexual. When he repented into Christ, the Lord made it clear that homosexuality is a sin, then He restored Mr Rogers to a healthy balance. Mr Rogers has been married to a lady who loves him very much for over 30 years. For those who wait on the Lord, there is hope. The homosexual promoters don't want to bear a cross, nor do they wish to wait on the Lord to work things out for their best benefit. Note that GK Chesterton quote in my sig. Christianity is difficult, but then the things worth having in life are worth both fighting for and waiting for...
Psalm 73:28
28 But as for me, it is good to be near God.
I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge;
I will tell of all your deeds.
Wow! I am like so angry, and I hate to say it but, that someone can be that stupid to make that argument, she has no proof and everything she says is full of logical fallacies again with no backing or exegesis but eingesis.
It's such a frail argument and judging that that woman is a pastor (no offense) the church has lost it's leadership to defend biblical authority.
Wow, just wow. I have never heard of most of what she was talking about. Just in this last week God has been showing me the apostasy that is happening in the church. I think this one wins hands down for the most scripturally corrupt writing that I have seen yet. I could not even make it to the end.![]()
#1 Women are not to pastor a church. Not being sexist just Biblical. So [U]anything[U] she says has to be taken with a grain of "apostasy" salt shall we say.
#2 The Bible clearly state that homosexuality is an abomination, not just a sin BUT AN ABOMINATION. I don't know about you but that pretty much means NO
#3 Davids love for Jonathan may have been "passing the love of women" but it was not sexual. Love in and of itself is not physical, it is more emotional (For the physical part see lust). Love is the Greatest Commandment, love God above all others, and others like God. Love is the Image of God! A mixture of temperence, meekness, faith, goodness, kindness, patience, peace, and joy.
#3 Sodom was destroyed for sodomy among other deviant abominations. Those who came to visit Lot had the whole town bangin' on the door so they could "know them". (Which means have sex with them) Lot offers his virgin daughters! They say no. What a disgusting town.
#4 Jesus came not to destroy the Law or the Prophets. We are not however to pass judgement any longer. (see Matthew chap. 5 & 7 for more info)
#5 Slavery was not what it is today. Biblical slavey was more like enlisting in the millitary today, or an employment contract for a set period of time. Almost like a sharecropper. At the end of your service you re-enlist, or find a new employer/master.
Good summary.
One more thing I would like to add.
Fortunately today we are not to kill people off for their unclean acts but they will be punished by the Lord Himself they are not acceptable to Him for they are not HOLY!LEV 20:7 " `Consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am the LORD your God. 8 Keep my decrees and follow them. I am the LORD, who makes you holy.
LEV 20:13 " `If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.
Time is running out!REV 22:10 Then he told me, "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, because the time is near. 11 Let him who does wrong continue to do wrong; let him who is vile continue to be vile; let him who does right continue to do right; and let him who is holy continue to be holy."
REV 22:12 "Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
Amen mad matt and Hannah and others.
Sometimes I feel like Abraham-(lately) when I'm praying for people who are caught up in homosexuality or other egregious sins. The time is running out like you said Hannah and it is very urgent!.
There's still time -but it's getting fewer and fewer. And, when God saves that last person, I believe that's when He will take us home.
Sharing the gospel is not received by most anymore like it used to be. People nowadays don't HEAR it--it's like water running off a ducks back. I've shared with several and they nod and listen to either my testimony or how to be saved--nothing.
it's God who saves and we are to know we are successful when we are obedient in sharing with hearts that are full of compassion for the lost to know such a Great Salvation and love in Jesus Christ![]()
