    Even the Catholics proclaim some very credible creeds. In the church my family attended we said the Apostles Creed every Sunday.

    THREE CATHOLIC CREEDS
    Psalm 73:28

    28 But as for me, it is good to be near God.
    I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge;
    I will tell of all your deeds.

    Meg,

    I encourage you to drive right on by these creeds. They have no life.

    (Mat 6:7) But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. These are liturgical mantras!

    They may fit into RRC or Episcopalian High Church but where is the life therein?

    Consider the words of Omar M. Ahmad, founder of CAIR: "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant." ... "The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America , and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."

    I was just making a point Glenn. I can never reconcile with the Catholic church, that decision was made several years ago, because if I could have reconciled with the Catholic church I would gladly have become a Nun. The point I was making is that if you only look at part of what someone is claiming, without acknowledging all of what a person is saying, you leave yourself open to deception.

    God really models this truth in His Word when He makes it clear that nothing will be hidden from Him nor can anything be hidden from Him. This is why I believe in candid confession of my every uncertainty, deep consideration of every experience, and unflinching scrutiny of Scripture in search of absolutes. The Lord has honored this searching deeply too. There is no question that we cannot and will not serve two masters, and sooner or later, you will discover how that works. But thats OK, because Jesus Christ leads by example, He didn't spare Himself, so He cannot be unreasonable, therefore He can be trusted absolutely. Therefore He really is our refuge in a very powerful way.
    Psalm 73:28

    28 But as for me, it is good to be near God.
    I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge;
    I will tell of all your deeds.
